I read a story about this on a conservative politics blog that someone linked to on facebook the other day. I didn't take a single one of the tweets to be serious and I really didn't see any that appeared to be "furious" or "outraged". If anything, the majority were making a snarky comment trying to be funny. It's a very long stretch to try to make this into a real story about people being outraged over this, but if political blogs couldn't make up their own "news" to be pissed off at the other side about, then they probably wouldn't exist.

It's just like any other "news" story to stir shit up and get sides angry at each other and make people think their side is way smarter than the other side, etc. The media, and "news stories" like the one above are going to be the downfall of America.

Instead of an oil pipeline, we should do a snow pipeline. What is a snow pipeline? In the northern states they have so much snow that they don't know what to do with it. They literally pile it up and load up dump trucks to remove it from cities. What if there was a pipeline to pump all of that excess snow in the north down to the south? As it travels down the pipeline and gets warmer, it melts into water. Water that can be used to replenish lakes in southern states that are dealing with droughts. Just run it through a process to remove the pollutants so it doesn't kill off the plants/animals in the lakes. And if it breaks, we don't have to spend weeks washing birds afterward. #SnowPipeline2015
