MAKE MY OWN BOOK (7)
After submitting the file to the print shop. I wait for it to arrive. I was in a bit of panic if it doesn’t arrive because I usually have problems with post and parcel but It came and the print shop even send jelly snack with the book as well, I’m touched by their service and I should give them a positive review.
For evaluation, I think the pages are a bit hard to navigate, I should have select a thicker paper for the content. Some awkward layout as well. These error can be fixed with enough time because sending them to print and wait until it arrives by post could take time, unless I find a print shop where I walk in and receive them by hand the next day or similar.
Overall, I think the book come out nicely, the printing quality is good, the A5 size fits any hand (maybe not toddlers). the font on each page is not too small that it would be hard too read.
I like the front and back cover. I experiment in using the same text and alter them differently each line it repeat and I think the outcome is very interesting.
This project is harder than I thought It would be, partly because I have to plan how the page work which is heavy brain work for me. The layout is mostly playing around but is actually have to put in lot of thoughts to ensure it create effect and works on the paper and the page next to them.
I’d like to try this again in the future as it is very exciting to see my design out into a real book which can be hold in hand and flip through.
