SEMI-HIATUS NOTICE   JAN. 19-MAY 10

It’s that dreaded time of the year again for me – a new semester of school (and my last unless I take extra classes in the fall hoorah). So that means that my activity across blogs is going to be on the low side. I have 5 classes this semester and need to try to stay on top of them as much as possible with hopes of staying on the dean’s list. With that being said, some threads that were just random chat threads may be dropped in the meantime. This doesn’t mean we can’t start something new, it’s just that plotted threads are much easier for me to tend to honestly. During this time I most likely won’t be taking on many random new threads or putting out starter calls. I am, however, always open for potential new plots or verses. Always feel free to get at me through IM, sky.pe, or k!k. This will be posted on multiple blogs so sorry if you follow me in more than one place. c: **Addition. I am going to attempt a queue on most of my blogs just for my own sanity. So replies will probably be coming out 2-3 times a day excluding the threads I have major muse for at the moment.

But I will try to do replies a few times a week. School starts back the 19th for me and I have a full load this semester. For my sanity I can't keep all my blogs fully active through all of that.

       That one looked familiar, like the boy he’d run across when he’d        first come to this place. It had been days now -- no, maybe weeks.        He was never good at keeping track of time. But Declan found that        as soon as he was approaching the other to speak to him again,        more friendly this time (he was finally getting the hang of that), he        noticed that something was off. This wasn’t the same person from        before. But they looked so similar. Though as he grew closer he        noted just how dissimilar they truly were, between looks and scent        mixed together. 

      “...Hello.” He’d finally gotten that greeting thing down too. “You        are...the brother to the other one? The one who calls himself Stiles?”

The Code of the Seelie Court

Like many human courts, the Seelie Court had its own code of conduct, a code which all of the Seelie had to abide by. This code was:

Death Before Dishonor: A member of the Seelie Court would protect his or her honor to the death. Honor was the single source of glory for the Seelie, the only way to attain recognition. A true Seelie would rather have died than live with personal dishonor, and would never bring dishonor to another of the Seelie.

Love Conquers All: For the Seelie, love was the perfect expression of the soul. It transcended all other things. Though romantic love was considered to be the highest and purest form of love, platonic love was also encouraged.

Beauty is Life: Beauty was one of the first tenants of the Seelie Court. To belong, a faery had to be beautiful, and all beauty was to be protected. The Seelie were known to go to war to protect beauty, whether it was a beautiful person, place, or thing.

Never Forget a Debt: This tenant worked in two ways. The Seelie were bound by their code of honor to repay any debt owed as soon as was possible. This included both favors and insults. The Seelie would repay a favor in a timely fashion. At the same time, they would exact vengeance almost immediately. Source

    “Well the first thing I need you to do is to calm      down. You’ve no reason to act so hectic about it.      I’m not sure your ability has an effect on me either.      But -- I don’t think we should test the water if you      want my help. So -- tell me about your gift. When      did you receive it?”

        Good attention is clearly not being paid because when she glances up again, he’s gone.          Unfortunate because she was curious, but there’s nothing she can really do about it at this         point. The feeling is still there and one can’t always trust their eyes, but she’s not sure if         she really saw anything to begin with. Or, maybe the burst of magic had scared him off         and she’d screwed that one up on her own. She shifts back in her seat a little, blinking         slowly at the feeling that she’s definitely still being watched. Jumps, startled and barely         suppressing the scream that wants to escape her as he just appears in front of her. Green         eyes widen at him, glancing around to see if anyone else had noticed. “Where the bloody         hell did you come from?”

Declan can’t help but smile as he’s reminded of his old self. The young fae who loved nothing more than pulling pranks on others. And this was definitely his kind of prank. Though he knew he had to be careful now that he was in a different world. Others didn’t take so kindly to his abilities, as he found out the hard way, but it seemed no one around him had been paying attention -- not even the girl. Which was what had made it all the more fun in the first place. “That table over there,” he says, pointing to where he was only moments ago sitting. “I noticed what you did, thought I should come say hello,” he pauses and tilts his head slightly. “...Hello.”

Werecoyote. That was definitely new to him. As far as he knew such things didn’t exist in his home. “I am not a ghost of a demon or whatever,” he says back to her with a slight roll of his eyes. “I come from the realm of the fae. Have you heard of us?”

       The scent hit him in the face like a brick. Another one? Were        there no normal people in this town? Declan was beginning to        wonder what type of place he had managed to find himself in.        The boy looked normal, as all the other’s did as well. But there        was still that lingering scent of dirt and death that hung in the air        around him. Of course Declan couldn’t not make a comment        about it as the other grew closer. 

       “Why does everyone in this town smell so weird?”
