“Oh fuck! Are you okay?”
Just how many people was she going to run into? “Yeah, should be right…” Siobhan shook her head, trying to slyly adjust it back onto the body without having to use her hands. “Sorry ‘bout that! My fault, I’m clumsy as all hell. You good, too?”

“Smuggle me in! It’ll, uh, b-be a heartwarming a-and, uh, zany adventure, right? ‘H-Honey I Brought A Human’!” And then Stevie would spend the rest of her life in some obscure fae jail and the zany fun would be over. Nothing killed the mood like being arrested by magical law enforcers. “D-does, uh, does the h-head make puking sounds while th-the neck actually vomits?” She snorted and tried not to linger on the image of Sio neck-barfing on a load of pixie babies or something. Glancing down at their intertwined hands, she frowned slightly, thinking, “S-So, uh, which o-one of you is holding my h-hands right now..? I m-mean, uh, I’m not c-complaining but, uh… I’ll sh-shut up now.” Huffing a self-conscious laugh, she hung her head for a second before slowly looking up as Sio spoke. “Y-you’re young..? I m-mean, uh, I guess I n-never actually knew your l-lifespan… How, uh, h-how long do dullahan live?” Humans really didn’t treasure their limited time, in Stevie’s opinion. Even when they were suddenly, quite painfully, aware of their time running out, they just… couldn’t actually grasp death. However, if it wasn’t for that facet of human nature, Stevie wouldn’t be enjoying some gay hand-holding with a cute dullahan, so maybe it wasn’t all bad. It was probably worth that awful night in the hospital, and all the less-awful-but-still-bad nights before it, to have the chance to be living on the island now, right? Thoughts for another time, maybe. She laughed as Sio met Stevie’s horse girl expectations head on, quite able to imagine the bedroom. “D-do, uh, do you and the o-other dullahan compete for those, uh, th-those little rosettes..? Those were a-always, uh, my f-favourite.” Once, in her sticky-fingered days, she’d taken one from the horse girl’s locker. It was probably still somewhere at home. Before she even had time to make a joke about PDA jail, she was being kissed. Briefly letting her eyes close, she held the kiss for a second before pulling away, her hands over her eyes as she grinned helplessly. Finally, she managed to ask, “W-was that a good enough prize..?”
Sio snickered, shaking her head. “That’s a terrible idea. Fae court is awful, not recommended, I don’t enjoy going back, but I have to. I wouldn’t dare subject you to all that.” Not to mention that the courts would either enchant or kill her, just for being there and human. Not the best of ideas, really, especially for someone she had interest in. “Lifespan differs, but fae in general live real long… I guess you could see me as like the human equivalent of late twenties, maybe? I ain’t too sure…” She trailed off, frowning in concentration. Time is meaningless and lame and she really didn’t see the point. “Rosettes is a little far. The horses aren’t for show, they’re our partners, and they’re always kinbda mean and unruly and would never, as a group, submit to being in a show kinda deal. Fergus, however… He alone might. Baby loves his attention and beauty time.” She beamed like a proud mother, happy to think and talk about her child. The transition from loving parent to the current display of gay affection was quite the change, but pleasant nonetheless. She pulled away from the kiss and grinned. “A very good prize, yeah…” She trailed off as she looked for a napkin, pulling a pen out of her fanny pack simultaneously. She scribbled down her number on the scrap of flimsy paper, sliding it across the table. “I ain’t too good at textin’, but there’s that for you. I don’t mean to be rude or ditch you or nothin’, but I’m suddenly starvin’ and eating for real is a private fiasco…” Her nose crinkled, thinking of all the struggle. “Call me or whatever sometime, we’ll do somethin’ fun, yeah?” She grinned, slipping out of the booth and slinging her skates over her shoulder. “Catch y’later, doll.”
