taught my dog the word 'yucky' in association to grossness so if he's chewing on something weird I run up to him and yell "YUCKY" and he gives me this look
reposting this from twitter bc it's making me lose my mind
autistic people are allowed to fit autism stereotypes
i take things literally. i don’t get a lot of neurotypical humor and often feel left out of the joke or even feel like i’m the joke sometimes. i’m gullible. there’s no way to sugarcoat it or put it more nicely, i’m just gullible. i don’t always know what’s satire. i’m socially awkward and have a hard time befriending or remaining friends with anybody who isn’t like me.
much of the autism community puts so much emphasis on “all autistic people aren’t x” and not enough on “who cares if we’re x, we deserve rights”
this goes doubly for ID and nonspeaking autistics btw i just can’t speak to that experience personally
Completely unironically this is one of my new favorite pieces of literature
[Image description: A photo of a poem with a caption at the top. The caption says, "This is the best poem I've ever read hands down. This is what poetry is about for me, personally." The poem itself is written on yellowed paper and has drawings of a cat with yarn and kittens with sweaters. The poem is titled, "There Was A Cat." The poem says, "Long ago there was a cat, Who swallowed a ball of yarn; And when the cat had kittens, They all had sweaters on." There is also a comment in red pen on it that says, "Cute!" With a star and a smiley face. End ID.]
Well, Fire fighter dude certainly didn’t hold back on his thoughts.
He’s dead on though

We need more aro representation in the media. We need someone to say the word aromantic and explain what it means without implying that they're a terrible human being. We need the people they come out to to not take pity on them. We need GOOD aromantic representation
Knowing that JK Rowling agonizes over every individual mean tweet ever sent to her is amazing. I feel strangely at peace knowing she is currently trapped in a hell of her own making.
Queer culture is someone in the friend group coming out and starting a chain reaction until you realise 90% of the people you know are also queer
Do you think Azula missed Zuko when he was banished?
Hello anon!
Yes, I do. If we take into account how Azula interacted with Zuko in Zuko Alone, I think it makes sense to deduce that she did absolutely miss Zuko while he was banished. Even though Azula was clearly jealous of Zuko and therefore was mean to him at times, I think it’s still clear that she did absolutely have some level of affection for her older brother Zuzu.
Azula was seen playing happily with Zuko in Zuko Alone. She was chasing him while laughing. She was also there with Zuko while he was playing with his new knife that was given to him by their uncle. She seemed to be sitting on chair observing him. She did tease him about not being good with the knife later, but the fact that she was there in the first place shows that she did like spending time with him.
Azula also dragged Zuko with her to go behind the curtain so they could listen to Ozai speak to Azulon when they had been ordered to leave. She just wanted Zuko to be there with her. In The Crossroads of Destiny, Azula also brought Zuko home as a war hero instead of as a prisoner when she could have gone back on her promise. If she didn’t miss him at all she would have probably brought him back as a prisoner.
So yes, I do think that she absolutely missed Zuko. I think that after Zuko was banished there must have been a part of Azula that was actually very scared. The two fire siblings also probably only had each other for support after their mother was banished. Despite their intense rivalry I do believe that they probably confided in each other. So when Zuko was banished Azula must have felt very alone.
Thanks for the ask!
