Sirius Black x Evans!reader - Exposed
You have been secretly dating your boyfriend Sirius for a few months now, with the only people to know about it being the other marauders. What happens when a slip-up causes your sister Lily to find out?
On an exceptionally bright day in April, you and your older sister Lily Evans were walking across the wide Hogwarts grounds. It was something you often did, as both of you needed the break and both enjoyed the time spent with each other. You both were talking about your friends and Lily was giving you some tips for your charms studies, as your OWLs were coming up.
You and your sister had always had a close relationship while you were growing up. Â As a result, it was a wonderful surprise to both of you when you received a Hogwarts letter, just like your sister the year previously. Your other sister, Petunia, had been less enthusiastic which had kind of stung but you learned to ignore her hateful comments.
When you went to Hogwarts, you and your sister were practically inseparable. Her friends were your friends and vice versa. She helped you with your studies and you both spent time exploring the castle.
Through all your years at Hogwarts, there had been one constant. James Potter asking out your sister, and her saying no. You had heard about her many complaints about the messy-haired boy, and very often about his friends as well.
That was why, when Sirius Black asked you out at the beginning of your current school year, you were very tempted to say now. However, you had had a crush on him for the longest time and said yes anyway. Remus offered to distract Lily. You snuck out of the school for the first time, using the passageway to Honeydukes, and it was an amazing first date.
Since then your relationship grew and was still kept on the down-low. Both you and Sirius didn't like that last fact, but both of you agreed that it was better if Lily didn't know. Besides you and Sirius, only the other Marauders knew, and maybe a lucky legilimens in the castle.
There have been a few times where Lily nearly caught you both, such as the time where you told her you had charms homework so you couldn't take a walk with her, thinking she would go anyway with one of her friends. You decided to use the opportunity to spend time with Sirius. However, Lily didn't go and you ended up having to tiptoe out of the sixth-year Gryffindor boys dorm, using James' invisibility cloak.
As you were walking around the Black Lake, you heard some yells coming from a few meters away from you. You looked up and saw your Sirius and the others messing around with what looked like a snitch. Your sister sighed but you could've sworn you saw a small smile playing at her lips.
The boys had spotted you both as well, and James started his usual swagger towards Lily, who looked disgruntled at this.
Both of you raised your eyebrow, and this was something that would cause James to say something that made your heart shoot into your ass.
"The older one obviously, the younger one is dating my best mate."
"JAMES" both you and Sirius yelled. Lily just looked confused.
"What are you on, Potter? They're not dating anyone."
James looked over at you with an apologetic glance, Lily following his gaze.
"... You aren't dating anyone, right? Or are you?"
Upon seeing your face, she realized.
"And you didn't tell me."
She looked over at you, shook her head, and smiled.
"Look, I know that I talk about how I hate Potter.." "You love me." "... but that doesn't mean I would not have liked to hear about it.'
She smiled and not for the first time were you deeply impressed with your sisters' kindness and acceptance.
Sirius looked slightly shocked as well, and Lily turned to him.
"That doesn't mean that I won't castrate you if you hurt them."
Now he just looked positively terrified. That sentiment wasn't shared by his friends as it was followed by the loud laughter of three teenage boys that you and you sister returned to the majestic castle, while you told her all about the last few months.
