>Write "Material Connexion" in the search bar, press enter

>Click on the Hyperlink to Material Connexion.

GUYS. For printing. Step one: log in to computer using your code (I.e. Mine is lepic981) and the password you made. Step two: print and choose Plotter Step three: click properties Step four: choose paper size>more Step five: choose paper size "Arch D" for the 1/2" or "Arch E" for the 3/4". Step six: click okay Step seven: window will pop up. Enter info and press enter. Another window might pop up for you to confirm. Step eight: go over to the release station. Step nine: swipe card, click on document and print. Step ten: collect.

Take a sec to check out ALLAN WEXLER, who is a professor at Parsons.

He just published a book called “Absurd Thinking Between Design and Art”, which I strongly recommend.

Above are examples of his craft, questioning the relationship of objects to people and not being afraid to straddle the line between art and design.

Notice the two pieces of body apparatus--one is a mobile studio, the other is a “hat roof”.

I also suggest that you look at his sketches and drawings. I put an example up.

Finally, when you walk up to the second floor and walk out of the staircase through the door, you will see a big plywood box. Attached is a picture of what is inside. A completely retractable structure housing a kitchen, complete with everything you would need for a cocktail hour.

Definitely go take a look at his work!

Hey Guys!

First image is from Rachel Whiteread, who creates negatives of rooms/buildings as well as negatives of objects. Take a minute to Google her and look through her work, might help you understand the concept of section and projection.

Also take a minute to look through Gordon Matta Clark’s work. His deconstructions can help wrap your mind around what Severino talks about slicing through a building/object. He also makes great collages that could inspire to your future work.

Here is an example from an old project. I’m posting this to show how taking pictures and changing your perception of scale can modify how you see your project.

The first picture shows a very plain model from the outside, the next ones are different moments within that model. Try to picture what scale these moments are at, what size people would be in relation to it if they were to inhabit it.
