no offense but six is about women
it's so specifically about women that the entire point of the show is to draw parallels between the experiences of women today and women 500 years ago and to create roles for women (and nb people but the characters are still women) like do you know how rare it is to have an all female cast and band? and people see this and think 'i'm gonna make this about men' and i'm so sick of it i'm so sick of people taking these women and gender bending them and rewriting songs to fit their shitty male fave characters and saying 'but what if the show was about these male historical figures!' as if the fact that it's about the queens means nothing and people acting like the main audience is gay men and every male actor saying 'why don't we do a genderbent production!' bc they're bitter there's one (1) show that's barred to them like i'm so tired of this let women have ONE thing

Finding friends in Tumblr for the Queens made me think: which musical theatre characters you think would be friends with the queens?
...hahahahahaha guys I’m actually not a massive musical theatre fan? I like &Juliet amd Six and wicked and mean girls and les mis but other than that I’m clueless when it comes to most musicals. This really isn’t an ask for me lol.

so for the queens you choosed multiple friends for, which version of the character do you think is the most similar to each friend then?
(I mean it’s really hard to decide because there’s no DEFINITIVE versions of the queens you know? Different actresses and alternates play the queens in different ways so even though one of my friends might be WE!Aragon to the core, they might be nothing like Tour!Aragon or US!Aragon. That’s why usually like to pick multiple)

Cleves: THIS is the queen that’s so hard to get a read on. Did @six-aesthetic and I play beer pong while jamming out to the Six soundtrack yesterday? Yes we did. Were our non-six friends confused as all hell? Definitely. Would I do it again in a heartbeat? Absolutely.

Allow me to explain my casting choices:
"my loyalty is to the Vatican" - Patton in canon is closely tied to Thomas's religious beliefs as we've seen in the last episode. Also "been humble, been loyal, I've tried to swallow my pride all along" feels very much like something Patton does regularly. Even when he is mocked and belittled he hardly says anything and he had an entire arc about fake smiling through his pain.
Very flirty and inappropriate, saying whatever comes to mind without a filter. "politics - not my thing". Because it requires careful word choice and self control. Also green sleeves, green is Remus's color. Which speaking of, "well my sleeves may be green but my lipstick's red", is definitely something Remus would say.
Now usually I'd cast Virgil as Catherine Parr, the survivor. But I started thinking about everything Virgil went through, in canon, for people who didn't even see his efforts and didn't appreciate him. Sure that story eneded much better but it's proof that he would stick around for anyone he cares for even if they don't really care for him nearly as much.
Anna's story is all about deception, how looks can be deceiving but also how lies and truths are all subjective. "you said that I tricked ya, cuz I didn't look like my profile picture, too bad I don't agree", meaning what he sees as deception she sees as him having poor taste. And that's exactly the kind of sass and philosophy I can see Deceit having. Also just "as he takes my fur" imagine Deceit in a fancy dress and fur coat instead of his suit and cape I could literally die.
This is always my favorite and so far unchanged casting choice. Roman and Katherine both talk a big game but they don't want sex nearly as much as they pretend. They'd rather have companionship, whether it be Romantic or platonic, they just really want someone to be there for them with no fucking involved. (catch me sneaking in my ace Roman headcanon). But in both their cases, they are weighed down by society's expectations of them as attractive individuals. Also I fucking live for Roman angst. (us fic authors love to torture our faves).
Finally, Logan would be Parr the survivor, because he had the brains about him not to fuck anything up. Everything about Catherine screams Logan to me. She was a writer, she fought for women's rights, she knew what she had to do to survive a marriage with the king, and she was generally just so done with everyone's shit.
In conclusion, if anyone were to draw/animate this I'd be thrilled.
