The alley grew noticeably colder, and from the ground came a shrouded figure. The ghastly form of the wraith emerged, drifting along. It reached a hand for Neo, but Aaron put up his and the wraith fell back, moving behind him.

"Like? My dad taught me how to summon them. I take it this will suffice as proof that I’m not lying?"

"Ooh. Neat." Neo sighed. "Look, that's really cute, but it's hardly impressive, and frankly, you're trying too hard. And this is coming from a guy who's wearing about ten pounds of buckles."

His hands didn't move, as they were deep in his coat pockets, but his eyes locked onto the wraith. Quiet and subtle, he willed the wraith to lift its hands up over its head.

Neo kept his eyes down at his book, side-stepping people in the crowd with practiced ease. He spent a good amount of time reading, whether he was home or not, and walking-whilst-reading had become routine since coming to the city.

He took a step to the right and collided with what felt like a warm brick wall. The book fell from his hands, and he stopped, a scowl on his face.

"Excuse me," he snapped, his tone all but apologetic.

Of all the things Hank had never thought to add to the Mansion when he was constructing it, something to dislodge footballs and the like from the guttering was an understandable omission. And as a result, when a group of students found themselves sans ball and with a large height to climb, he had been the first to reassure them that he would simply go up and collect it.

He had just dislodged a collection of frisbees and footballs, including the one promised to the students, when he heard a shout that all but rebounded off his eardrums, letting out a yelp and tumbling back - in an instant, he was off the roof and crashing down into a hedge with as little dignity as possible.

The yelp caused Bruce to perk up, and the wiry teen leaped up onto the gate. Hands gripping the bars, he pressed his feet against the metal to give him more leverage.

"Eeey!! C'mon, ge'up!!" He shouted, his volume not as resonating this time.

This man was strange. Ben was normally trusting, but even now he was on the alert.
