Something quietly breaks in Satoru's heart the moment he saw you walk out of your bathroom with red eyes and tear streaks you clearly had to hurriedly wipe away in fear of being caught by your mother-in-law.
You walked into your shared bedroom without making a single sound, except for the softest of sniffles you tried so very hard to suppress between your lips. When your husband followed you, he found you gazing outside the window, trembling fingertips grazing the negative pregnancy test that rested on your ornate walnut dresser.
You wanted a child so badly that when he agreed to finally finish inside you for the very first time โ after coaxing him into it and telling him you aren't even sure if you're going to get pregnant in the first try โ you eventually decided that you already were; pregnant, you meant. And everyone else in the household who didn't know were surprised that you finally let them treat you like the delicate flower they always thought you were.
Satoru pulled you into his arms, whispering in your ear that you two had all the time in the world to try and try and try again. And he could only cradle you as he heard you sob into his chest.
You wanted a child not only because your families have asked you time and again โ when will you two finally have children? โ But because deep down inside you, you already knew that you were ready to pour most, if not all, of your heart, soul, and devotion into taking care of a little one. (He said most because hello? He was still your number one. And is always going to be.)
Satoru knew that you've always wanted children. He did, too, but he thought there'd be a perfect time for them. Now that he knew that it wouldn't be as easy as he thought, he became less adamant about it and more amiable to what he was so, so careful about at first. And every opportunity he had to fill you with his load, which he always painstakingly took care of not waste, he'd take. Incredibly gratefully, too.
It started off mildly at first. Every night he'd return home from work, he'd find some reason to hold you, no matter what you were doing, and he'd attempt to set the tone right by touching you that way. You knew what way that was โ and you'd turn into putty in his hands, your tasks forgotten as he manhandled his way into your heart and underneath your clothes.
Then nighttime wasn't enough for him. He'd have to be holding you first thing in the morning, too, like you weren't even sore from the evening before. Like your thighs weren't sticky from his last night's work. He'd whisper the most obscene things in your ear, too, his voice low and his breath warm, all while he pawed at you to follow his lead. He'd tear your palm from your mouth and chuckle as he urged you to "Let the whole damn house hear" how amazing he made you feel.
The maids had a code for it โ those unexpected moments of vulnerability and visceral hunger from the young master that no one else should see โ lavender haze, they'd whisper amongst each other as they cleared the radius of the area where Satoru was evidently trying his damn hardest to knock you up while having the time of his life. It was clear that you were enjoying yourself way too much as well by how your voice dripped in honey and ecstasy as you uttered your husband's name without a clear care of who would hear you.
Eventually, even you weren't safe from your mother-in-law's wrath when she scolded her son for terrorizing the household staff with his brutish behavior, and she even called you an accessory to his crimes. She was rather taken aback when he threw the "Do you want a grandchild or not?" argument at her, because she didn't want to admit that he had a point. At that point, you were way too embarrassed to even try to argue at all.
You honestly felt the entire estate breathe a sigh of relief the morning you announced to everyone there that you were finally expecting. Everyone rejoiced at the idea of a new heir, and your maids were pleased to know that they could at last tend to you once more without the threat of the young master throwing them out of your bedroom merely because he wanted time with you. You weren't entirely sure that the tears they cried were from the elation of knowing you were with child, or from relief that the lavender haze was finally over.
You were smack in the middle of gossiping with your maids that evening when a familiar, petrifying chill ran down the young women's spines as they listened to the gentle rattling of your bedroom doors.
"Good evening, ladies," Satoru greeted everyone with a smile that didn't really reach his eyes, yet in those pools of azure was a glint of mischief that you easily recognized as something else. The maids knew it, too. "May I have this evening with my dearest wife?"
