// Friendly reminder that I have moved over to danavalomari!
// I’m going to start re-following people on my new blog - once I’m really ready to start RPing (which may or may not be today), I’ll post a self-promo over there, but in the mean time I do finally feel ready to start plotting again! The URL is danavalomari and I should be more-or-less around over there for the rest of the day. :3
(At least take a look at the gorgeous theme that agamemnoncrying made for me!! 8D)
// Sorry it’s taking me longer than anticipated to launch the new blog, guys. I had a death in the family a couple weeks ago combined with a few very draining work weeks, and it’s taking me a while to recharge the energy I need to return to RPing. I think I’m almost there, though. So hopefully I’ll be back and having fun with you guys soon, on a newly launched blog with a rebooted Mukuro. <3
State of the Blog
I figured it was about time to update you guys on what was going on over here.
So, after much deliberation and soul-searching (Aki can tell you that I first contemplated this option way back in, like, May), I have decided to not only remake Mukuro’s blog, but do a full reboot as well.
What’s a full reboot mean? Well, kind of just as it says - I’m starting the character over from scratch. All his threads, all his interactions, all his relationships on sixpathskitsune will not apply on the new blog. It will basically be a new version of the character.
Why did I decide to do a full reboot? Well, for lots of reasons. I wanted to change my approach to writing Mukuro, tweak his character a little bit, and switch over to only doing plot threads. Casual RP is fun in its own way, but I’m dealing with a full plate IRL and what makes RP an appealing destressor for me is the storytelling and character development aspects of it, which I don’t really get from casual RPs. And I was spending so much of my online time doing casual stuff, I didn’t have the energy to work on drafts, and was feeling overwhelmed by how fast-paced casual-style interactions are. In the end I was so stressed out that I wasn’t having fun writing Mukuro anymore, and that tainted the muse a little bit for me; rebooting and then committing to only do plot RPs is my way of fixing that problem.
I know from RPing Natsuno that concentrating more on plot threads does keep things more fun for me, since Natsuno generally does about 90% plot stuff and his casual interactions are very brief. Plus ever since I made the decision that, yes, I will reboot Mukuro, I’ve gotten really excited about writing him again, which I haven’t been for a while.
What happens to in progress threads? Is it different if they’re AUs? Sorry to do this, guys, but I’m dropping everything. Starting over 100% from scratch. A lot of these threads I’m really sad to lose, but I think it’s for the best. I will be more than happy to plot something new with you once the new blog is live, however! (Don’t come to me with plots just yet, though. When the new blog’s ready, that’s when I will be, lol.)
What’s the new blog? What will happen to this one? I’m still putting it together, so I’m not going to share the url just yet. Once it’s ready, then I’ll share it out, and follow everyone I’m following now with it. Then I’m going to archive this blog.
Part of me is a little bit sad to be doing this - I really like the threads and relationships Mukuro’s built over time, after all - but I’m also really excited to start fresh with him and structure him in a way that will be more fun for me. I think you guys will find him more fun to interact with on the new blog, too.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Thanks for sticking with me for as long as you have, guys. I’ll let you know when the new blog is up and running and ready to RP. :)

It will basically be a new version of the character.

perhaps this world’s not meant for us ― it’s all ashes to ashes and dust to dust
