Happy Birthday Help Wanted!

I used to not like Malhare cause of the initial idea of what he was meant to be when VR came out (and cause the less cool name stuck…). But it’s been seven years, and he’s been essentially retconned out of the story. I’ve finally come back around on him. Though to be honest. It was mostly because he’s my salvage location 3 goat in Frickbear’s 3.

I’ve been like. OBSESSED with Frickbears 3 since I started playing almost a month or so ago. I go do finals and occasionally check out to think about how badly I want to play before locking back in. CHAPTER 4 SPOILERS

I was thinking about this after hearing what Gerson said here.

I was extremely into the UT fandom as a child. I’m talking shoulder deep into it. As a young artist, it was one of the first fandoms I had been in that had creativity woven into its culture. Because of that my first UT phase became very artistically defining. I find myself nowadays writing aus and exploring my favorite stories in ways I *could* call indulgent or fandomized, but isn’t it just so fascinating?

I love aus, I love fanfictions, I love fan projects. Seeing a story change and evolve so much that it becomes its own entirely is so beautiful. I hope someone out there is making an AU on the nichest possible feature of their favorite story. I hope it inspires them to keep creating.
