How would you recommend to start reading the Bible? I’m currently on e, but i will never pass and living in rural Eastern Europe… i think God is the only thing that can bring me peace and if living in celibacy is the only way for me to keep the only family that I will ever have, guess embracing the love of Christ as the only true love in this life is worth it, can only hope He will forgive me nearly all of my teenagehood, when I turn my back to Him and that I will probably never be able to put him so upfront as I did when I was a child with OCD. How much do you think I should give up for Him to show my fear and love of Him? This longing kind of started when I researched Quakerism, do you think it’s a good denomination to follow or I should just return to catholicism? How to ever know for sure the will of God? Sorry for infodumping, bad English and hope you have a peaceful and blessed life! ♡
Thank you for asking for support I appreciate it I’m not like an expert but I don’t think you need to have everything figured out before you start I’d begin by reading one of the gospels (John or Luke are great to start) and just focusing on getting to know who Jesus is rather than trying to solve everything at once. As for denominations I don’t think you need to rush into choosing one. Visit different churches, pray ask questions.
Also pls don’t think you have to earn gods forgiveness by giving up everything and being perfect. Christianity is built on grace not on never making mistakes. If you’re seeking God sincerely you’re already taking a step forward.
