Rights for the Dutch remake have been bought by NTR, a Dutch public-service broadcaster. The expected release date is in the fall of 2018.
For questions, head to our ask. If you want to submit translations in a language besides English, you may do so here.
Thank you for reading and we hope you will enjoy the Dutch remake!

"Hello, this is about Skam Dutch, there is an Instagram account @skamdutch that claims to be an official update account for the Dutch version. This account is fake! I have contacted NTR and they are not affiliated with it. Please tell people to report this imposter because they are trying to spread misleading information. Most importantly: the Dutch actors have not yet been revealed by NTR and the info on that account is fake." via @anatheima thank you! Sorry for getting back to you this late.

I got my eyes on this desi legend! very impressed!!
starting april 24 2018
Okay, I can definitely see some of the similarities between the Austin characters and the original:
Shay/Tyler/Mystery Boy = Potentially our Eva/Isak/Jonas friend dynamic
Josefina/Kelsey = Chris/Vilde friend dynamic
Abby = Perhaps our “Ingrid”, aka the popular girl
Jordan = I mean…he has the potential to pull off a douche-y P Chris vibe..he lifts weights bro.
Is there a chance that the storyline will be a copy of season 1? Yes. But there’s also the chance that while a lot of the character’s personality traits or friend dynamics have been modeled after the characters we know, their stories will take them to different places.
If I lost Skam because Julie decided she wanted to do the American version then I’m at least going to give it a chance otherwise I’ll feel like it will have all been for nothing. I didn’t love every choice Julie made with Skam, but there wouldn’t have been a Skam to begin with had it not been for her and we wouldn’t have had the chance to fall in love with the characters she created. I’m excited to see what direction she takes with the show in and I hope it goes well. That’s sort of where I’m at, at the moment.

English Dub of Skam - We need voices!
We all love Skam. But the problem is, its not accessible to everyone. To remedy that, we’ve started to put together a team to dub Skam!
But to do that we need your help!
We want to get a different voice actor for every character, but if not, at least for the main ones. We’re asking for voice actors and Skam fans alike to help us out. Even if you don’t want to try out, it would mean a lot to us if you could reblog this and spread the word!
Not only will you get to help more people enjoy Skam, but you’ll get to make a group of new friends who also love the show!
Even if you’ve never voice acted before, we would love to see you audition.
All audition information can be found here
It’s gonna be a ton of fun and we hope to hear from you soon!
SKAM ITALIA AND BASICS OF ITALY PT 1: SCHOOLS
Hello everyone! Since Skam Italia is starting next week I decided to tell you about the school system in Italy, which is my country.
The first thing you need to know is that we have 3 years of kindergarden, 5 years of primary school, 3 years of middle school and 5 years of high school (we finish school when we are 18/19 as in Norway). In elementary and middle school you basically study the same subjects but in different ways (of course you’ll study them more in-depth in middle school).
High school is kind of complex because we decide in which type of school we want to study in our last year of middle school. High schools are divided in three major groups: licei (singular is liceo), istituti tecnici (sing. istituto tecnico) and istituti professionali (sing. istituto professionale).
At liceo you study more on a theoretical basis. In all of them you study Italian, History, Philosophy, Maths, Science, Physics, English, History of Art and P.E. (also Latin, but you sometimes you only study it for two years), but they are studied on a different level for each school. There are six main types of liceo: liceo classico (probably the one of Skam Italia) where you study mostly Italian but also Greek and Latin; liceo scientifico where Maths and Science are the two main subjects; liceo delle scienze umane where you study subjects as Psychology and Sociology; liceo linguistico (this is my school) where you can study languages, for example I do Spanish and Russian; liceo artistico where you study how to draw but also architecture for example; liceo musicale e coreutico where you study music. After liceo you are supposed to go to university otherwise you will not be able to find a good job.
At istituti tecnici you get both a theoretical education and a specialization. You can study for example economics, turism, technology etc.
At istituti professionali you study really practical subjects like engineering, agricolture, gastronomy etc and you are able to start a job as soon as you complete your studies.
Before finally finishing high school you have to do the esame di stato (state exame) or maturità (literally maturity) that takes place every year in June and July. We do four different tests: the prima prova (first test) in which the subject is always Italian, the seconda prova, the terza prova (in these two subjects are changable) and esame orale (oral test) in which we are tested orally in basically all the subjects.
Before the maturità we do the matura that I don’t think that all students in Italy do, but I think it’s the closest thing we have to the Norwegian Russefeiring tradition. It’s basically a very big party that takes place on a Friday at the end of May for all the last year students. We basically get drunk and party all night. (By the way I’m in my last year and I’m super excited about this, less about maturità though)
In basically all Italy students go to school from Monday to Saturday (so don’t be surprised if we will get clips on Saturday morning with the characters ar school) from around 8 am to around 1 pm. Most public schools work like this but in some private schools students go to school from Monday to Friday and also in the afternoon, but it reallt depends on the school.
We do both written (verifiche/compiti in classe) and oral tests (interrogazioni). The scale of marks goes from 2 (also 0 and 1 for some teachers) to 10, with 6 being the passing mark and 10 being the hightest of course. You can also get marks like 7 and a half or 7/8 or 7+ or 7- for example.
I hope this was useful for you!
I’m Italian too and I’d like to say just a few more things. School in Italy is very important for parents, students and teachers, more than in other western countries and even though Italian school system has always been criticized a lot, Italian students are usually prepared on a lot of subjects more than foreigner students. A lot of people say that Italian school is one of the most difficult in the world and probably the most difficult in Europe ( but IDK if it’s true). Another thing that might be “weird” for foreigner is the fact that in Italy we don’t change classroom every hour like in France or in Norway. We always stay in the same classroom all day, and since we do a different subject basically every hour, teachers change classrooms instead of students. We don’t have “courses” and “grades” like in other countries, we have classes and sezioni. Classes in high schools are prima (that is first year), seconda (second year), terza (third year), quarta (fourth year) and quinta (fifth and last year). And sezioni are like the “names” ( I don’t know how to explain this in a better way XD) of each classes and they are Italian alphabet letters. So for example I’m in second year so I’m in seconda and my sezione is the letter C so I’m in 2ª C. (In the trailer we can hear Eva saying that she didn’t get on well with her classmates and Eleonora asking her why. So maybe they will be in different classes, but I’m not sure)
I attend liceo classico and in skam italia they probably attend it too. In liceo classico we study “classical” languages (Ancient Greek and Latin), Italian, English, Math, Natural Sciences, History, P.E.(physical education) and Religious Education (that isn’t compulsory, but the majority of students does it) for 5 years. In terza (third year) we start to study four other subjects: Physics, Art History, Philosophy and Chemistry (but we drop Natural Sciences). You can also decide to study a third “modern” language (French, Spanish, German or Russian) but it’s not compulsory and not all the licei classici have these options (for example in my school you can only decide to study French or German too, but for example in my cousin’s liceo classico you can’t choose a third “modern” language).
Greek and Latin are two of the most important subjects and they are very difficult and hard. Dealing with these subjects can be very stressful and struggling so I hope to hear some of the characters complaining about them because since I study them I know how hard they can be.
Hope you find this helpful or at least interesting.
Ciao 🇮🇹
