“I’m guessin’ you ran into trouble, then? ‘S fine either way, I was just starting to wonder where you’d gotten to.”

“It’s a pleasure to finally meet you in person. It really is.”

Bigby’s eyes narrowed upon hearing the accent. It was a strange, but again familiar addition to this “man”. His accent sounded reminiscent of Georgie’s, but it was im- possible for this to be Georgie..or was it? He sighed out of his nose. “You seem really familiar…there, any chance I’ve seen you around here before?”

“I don’t come here often, but... maybe.”

Mordecai looked the other man over once more, trying to discern anything he could about him. The stranger was older, that much was obvious -- a late thirties at least to Mordecai’s mid-twenties. He seemed a bit scruffy, as well, but in the sense that he probably couldn’t afford to keep himself too maintained. And then there was that scent...

The Wolf within him made him freeze. It had just recognized it.

Another. Kindred, but not quite -- not completely the same. The Wolf didn’t know whether to turn tail or to greet its “brother” eagerly; others could be territorial. Others could be unfriendly. But... He could always chance it. It wasn’t so often he ran into someone like himself.

“Although I... I’m fairly sure we have something in common with one another.” He offered out a hand, still hesitant. “Mordecai Harper.”

Wolves In Sheep’s Clothes

Bigby could smell it as soon as the other was near him. Something was off about this man, but he couldn’t quite place what. He smelled…inhuman. He smelled almost familiar. Perhaps this man was a fable in a glamour, and  Bigby just didn’t recognize them. After a moment’s hesitation, Bigby finally toughened up and just approached the stranger. “Excuse me, sir?” he questioned.

Mordecai didn’t often wander into the city; it felt wrong, being so far away from the natural air of the forest, and you could never see the moon in the sky. It made him feel further from his Goddess then he already was. But it had its advantages -- and its people.

It felt good to be amongst people.

He stopped short, not having expected someone to actually speak to me. After a moment of staring, smelling the air, judging the other -- not human, definitely not human, in fact something eerily familiar but at the same time alien -- he gave a nod.

“’Lo.” His accent was, fairly clearly, English. London, to be specific.
