Part of the Druid Pack fooling around in the snow
The Druid wolf pack, formed in 1996, were the first group of relocated wolves that were released into Yellowstone National Park. The pack grew fast from five members to 37 members at its peak in 2001. The pack collapsed in late 2009 and early 2010, possibly due to the loss of long-time alpha female #569F and an infestation of mange affecting all pack members. The Druid pack had exceptional longevity and their legacy lives on in many of today’s packs. [x]

I spent hours making this for you guys in the hopes you guys would color it but oh it’s not an orca sketch so it got 0 attention
But guess what wolves are just as cool as orcas
awww I like it! i’d colour if I didn’t have parkinsons. or else it’d look like a job by a 3 year old

Yellowstone National Park - WY, USA
Wolverines traverse incredible distances over harsh terrain to survive in the alpine environments of the greater Yellowstone area.
Deep snow is critical to their survival. Female wolverines excavate birthing dens out of persistent, stable snow greater than 1.5 meters (5 feet) deep. It protects young while they are vulnerable and buffers cold winter temperatures. If snow comes earlier or later in the year, it may be out of sync with wolverine breeding cycles. If there is less snow, or if snow melts too soon, it may also jeopardize young wolverines’ survival.
