this took me like 50 minutes, which might be a record for my fastest creation of a comic- and I didn't erase a single time!! I should do this more often, not caring about the quality lets me make things so much quicker.

For the handlelabra I used my own hands as reference, yes my hands are actually like that. Gnarled and skinny like I'm a witch that lives in a bog and is going to turn you into a frog before disappearing into the fog.

Oh yeah! Been meaning to ask, though I'm not sure if this has been answered somewhere already or if it's spoilers for the comic or something, but what class is Nil? All of them? Can they swap between them at will? Do they have a preference? Or are they stuck at one class?

VERY GOOD QUESTION!!!

Nil's main class is grappler, and he does have the ability to swap between classes, HOWEVER, he can only do this in the nullscape lobby (like in game). So in the comic, when he doesn't have access to the lobby, he is stuck with the class that he already picked. Which is mostly fine for him because he is most used to grappler anyway. But it does mean he can't swap to a different class that would be more helpful in a certain situation, like in the Hotel for example, where grappling isn't really that useful because of the enclosed space. In the part of the comic where Nil is introduced, he comes in with his grappling hook and no upgrades because he was just starting a run when the erbrphjs um kpr islnf mw kbgcprhcekr hwpnfb. So that ends up being all he has access to during the story.

Outside the context of the comic though, he can use any class, with a preference for grappler, diver, and glider.

As we all know, Expendable is the host of one singular braincell. So we can infer we need one Expendable per required braincell.

according to my extremely unreputable sources, changing a light bulb uses about 3 million neurons.

1EXR-P * 3,000,000 = 3,000,000EXR-P

So in total you would need 3 million Expendables to change a light bulb.

HOBIE!! BROWN!!

I finally finished this after almost a month of working on it oml 😭

(extra stuff, yapping+ref under cut)

I think I spent at least two full days just working on that first shoe, probably because I decided to cut out and paint every individual shoelace strip for whatever reason-

(real footage of me using tweezers to glue the tiny paper strips 😭) (yes the guitar is made of starburst wrappers)

It was so worth it though, running my fingers over the whole thing is so satisfying cuz of all the layers.

(fun side angle of the shoe to show the depth that is kinda hard to see in a photo)

It was really fun using scraps of paper to make the collage parts, especially since I didn't have any magazines or usual collage material to use, so I had to get kinda creative. I ended up using the stickers from packages, pieces of my schoolwork, and uh, a googly eye idk- just anything I could find.
