Resistance. Respect. ✊🏾
okay so i've been thinking about this a lot lately and i just don't know how to feel or think or do. I really don't see the appeal of drag shows? Like i don't see the entertainment of it. I have huge respect for those who do drag; incredibly brave and strong. I know that it's a huge subculture of the LGBTIA+ community, and how so much of our history is so rich and amazing is because of drag culture. But I feel like I am betraying my community because I don't like drag shows and such. I even feel so out of place. Everyone I follow on instagram or irl is obsessed with drag queens and shows. I tried educating myself, trying to see what the culture is about and the history and how it impacted me. Upon that research, I am appreciative of what drag queens and people did, are doing, and will do. I just want to like the shows and be able to fit in with the community. Any suggestions???
