SKOKE organized this play as a response to their situation.
SKOKE had to find an idea for a project
- couldn’t figure it out because of four different brains
- got rejected from this project
- and decided
to organize a play as a response to this situation.
SKOKE took their cyclic, back and forth, overwhelming, contradictory, lovely, awkward but funnily rhythmed and confusing sessions of brainstorming as their main subject for this play.
SKOKE exploded themselves in organizing a time and space unit to share the ridiculous aspect of their brainstorming with a tint of ridicule towards potential assignment givers and institutions.
SKOKE shared “We are sorry to inform you THAT WE DID NOT SELECT YOUR PAINTING” on the 27th of March at the Vondelbunker in Amsterdam.

“The Office” in Cobra Museum Amstelveen, June 2016
Office is a temporary space defined by traces of tape, accompanied by Break Supply trolley, newspaper, and “Make education great again” caps. Artists were present and the audience was allowed to touch the artwork.

Besides being interested in the absurdity of space, SKOKE likes to meet at least once a week to discuss deep matters about the existence of humor, through education and other contexts. SKOKE is on a mission to learn new ways of communication by using humor as a tool to break the invisible walls of norms and structures. SKOKE is a lifestyle thing. The idea of SKOKE is shaped by:
Morgane Le Doze- interested in movements through spaces, such as good jokes, bike in a walking area, skyping with a friend in Tanzania and co-codriving to Belgium. The experience itself is always relevant and the pointless is always a potential study.
Lena Karson- Interested in words and how they are differently received, people’s body attitudes within one space, obsessions, corners and crowds of people applauding frenetically together.
Maisa Imamović- interested in non-verbal languages, pointless architectural details (such as stairs that lead you to the opposite wall), places or situations potential for arguments, and conversations with objects.
Roman Tkachenko- interested in demolition of human structures, provision of an experince or a feeling to humans and interviews with dead human beings. Roman has an aim to reach the next level of language.
"Today, we are trying to make students aware of the little things they do during a break. We provide them with a menu for activities and available products. For instance, we offer a queue friend for the canteen or someone to guide them to the toilets. We can help them to find a topic to talk about, a spot to stand or what amount of money they should add to their student card. If they are really indecisive, they can spin the wheel to have their break decided for them." - Break Supply by Inter-Architecture students for Art in Context
