gotta love when youre watching a show and you forget what mainstream tv is like. so youre just suddenly greeted with an episode about a character being (unknowingly) attracted tp a transwoman and then suddenly EWWW HES A GUYYy followed by everyone making disgusted remarks. including: looks like he has another misdemeanor for going into the women’s restroom. 

the the entire episode the character is misgendered, and treated like her being trans was a way to hide “under cover” despite mentions of the character getting gender reassignment surgery. then it all becomes a big joke at the character who was attracted to her’s expense. about how he “kissed a guy” followed by laughing and mocking remarks.

See, reasons like this are enough to watch the anime, even if it’s not the best adaptation. Like, we never ever would have gotten Ryuji to call Ren “RenRen” and we never would have gotten to see Yusuke as an adorable kid if we didn’t have the anime. So yeah, complain about it all you want, but it’s little additions like this that makes the anime worth it.
