I'm serious when I say we gotta give Temmie Chang half the credit for Making Undertale (and Deltarune)
She's got an animation degree, I know the art in Undertale gets underappreciated sometimes because it's trying to evoke an older simpler style, but the art in Undertale is legit amazing and without Temmie, none of Toby's ideas would have been able to be realized (without finding some other artist and animator)
She deserves more flowers for being the one who made the vast majority of the art assets for an entire game that is one of the most commonly cited games as an influence on others (her style is so beloved and recognizeable, there's a fully complete Undertale fangame emulating it)
already seen similar posts to this but like hey! great job bullying tumblr staff relentlessly bc they made a rlly bad ui change. could you keep doing that until they stop banning trans women and enabling their stalkers to have voices here? just maybe? for me?
Where are the fucking ban waves of reichblr, @staff? There are fucking Nazis on this site, and mysteriously none of them seem to face the institutional hostility me and my sisters face. Where is your goddamn shame? Do you think your children will be proud of you? Do you think you will be remembered as anything other than the petty dogs of fascism you are?
#1 on trending is "trans pride," filled to the brim with stolen photos and bot accounts pretending to be trans women, all left to run rampant.
Queerest site on the internet, my ass! Institutionally, we exist for your sexual fulfillment, meant to be used and not to be heard! You push us off these spaces because you know that us speaking to each other makes us stronger than you!
Hope people use this time to check themselves on their internalized Islamophobia and anti-Arab racism— especially if you’re American or European. It is not “normal” for the Middle East to be “constantly at war”. Muslims are not more inclined to violence and “barbarism”.
The state of the region is the product of decades of colonialism, exploitation, and racism in play. The word “Middle East” itself stems from those very same things.
btw i want to say that the entire tumblr community banding together is what got these changes reversed so i hope u all realise the power of a reblog and start reblogging posts instead of just liking them this is the reblog website so hit that button right now
lemme put it this way, it's always the non-sexual shit that I'm not comfortable with being sexualized that gets all of the weird sexually-charged replies, meanwhile the actual lewd/explicit stuff i post gets little-to-nothing. feels icky lowkey, like in a way that i cant really explain but it's not cool lol
The things where I actively have to Ask people to Not be Weird gets those comments ANYWAY at a relentless rate to the point I end up deleting those posts, but then on posts where i Want that attention you Wont Give It To Me. It's like yall cant even humor me, like it has to be at the expense of my comfort or something lol
yall will comment really weird inappropriate shit on normal posts and bitch at me for calling it out to the point of running me off of the fucking site, but then when it comes to this blog its all "oh im too shy" "whys she sharing this kind of stuff im gonna unfollow" Fuck you
"Just because I'm right, doesn't mean I'm being helpful" is a vastly underrated thought process that I strongly encourage others to get comfortable with
tumblr could've easily fixed the ease at which sockpuppet accounts can harass people but no they're too busy doing some bullshit that breaks core functionality if the website
you can just put in a 24 hour time limit before someone can use an account to send asks, or let users set limits on their blog for how long an account needs to have been active before they can engage them. i should be allowed to filter people who haven't had an account for longer than a month. this would singlehandedly filter all but the most insanely dedicated harassers. these people have genuinely bragged to my face about how easy it is to set up sockpuppet accounts to bypass anon filters, come on
The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve.
Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.
If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.
Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.
This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out – stay tuned!
We rolled out a significant change to how notes work on reblogs, and the reaction has been strong. We're not going to pretend otherwise.
First things first: We're reversing the change. Your feedback in comments, emails, and especially reblogs, made clear that the rollout created problems we need to address before moving forward. We also should have communicated this differently from the start, and we didn't.
We still believe there's a better version of how reblogs can work. One that gives every voice in a chain the credit it deserves. But we want to get there with you.
In the coming days we'll share more on how we plan to do that, including ways to work directly with some of you on this and future changes before they ship.
