something i always wonder is if people thing that simon does or doesn’t wear a balaclava off duty. like a plain black one or i’ve seen some ppls fics show him with the skull print one. personally, i think he doesn’t, the most probably bring a black surgical mask.

it defeats the whole reason why he even wears one in the first place. it’s for anonymity while he’s working, so the enemy doesn’t know him.

i’m sure people will remember a guy wearing either a plain black or a skull printed balaclava over some white dude in manchester wearing a surgical mask.

and i’ve always attributed the mask representing ghost and that once he’s home he’s simon regardless of being a living deadman on paper.

i don’t think he’s the type to mix both of his lives together. if he was then he wouldn’t be wearing a mast in the first place.

Soap loves spreading out in bed at night. He was never big on cuddling or sharing his bed with anyone. Then he spent his first night with Ghost. He never felt this much love and affection for anyone before so he decided to suck it up and share the bed with Ghost. As long as he has his space he’ll be fine! But then Ghost latched onto him like a snake trying to constrict its prey and would NOT let go. Soap was just grabbed by the front of his shirt and pulled into Ghost’s arms and he couldn’t get out of it no matter what he did.

Years later Soap can’t sleep if Ghost isn’t holding him.

Just thinking about canon interactions between Soap and Ghost that show how important their relationship is to each other romantic or not. “Save you a seat sir” that’s so silly but knowing soap he did! Sitting in that helicopter like “sorry this is for Ghost” that’s so funny. The little fist bump to Ghost’s shoulder. The fact that Ghost gives him one later. The fact that Ghost who is very very scary and cold and intense is like “two goldfish are in a tank” because Soap’s been shot and is alone in enemy territory. He waited for him! They haven’t know each other for long and Ghost is supposedly cold and quiet and difficult to befriend but he’s joking and talking with Soap like it’s the easiest thing to do ever. “We made it LT”. Trusting each other to keep each other safe while Ghost drives like a maniac in that truck. “What if I needed to know?” “SHH”. Ghost is the only one who can call him “Johnny”. Stop that’s a higher level of affection. They don’t have to be in love but they do care about each other and it’s so so fucking obvious. They both make it so clear so fast that they care about each other. That they’re friends. Soap mining cutting at his neck when Rudy makes a joke about the mask? He already knows him so well. How much time did it take for these two to just like each other? This is long and unorganized but my heart is just warm at the thought of these two big guys who are obviously fucked up just finding it so easy to like each other and to find comfort while making some of the most difficult choices. Idk man. They love each other, in whatever aspect you choose. Don’t even get me STARTED on Ghost showing his face to the whole team. Soap just staring at him. Like hes never seen anything like him. Like he’ll never see anything like Ghost again. Even the two of them sitting next to each other at the bar at the very end of the game just means the world to me like. They probably walked in and were like “I’m gonna sit here and soap is gonna sit next to me” and “I’m gonna sit next to ghost because that’s where I’m supposed to sit” it’s just so. Idk. Gentle?
