Hello, I'm an artist. I do art things. You know, such as draw or sculpt. I also tend to re-blog things. Guess what! I cosplay too. New Blog

Hello my apparently 65 fallowers. As you’ll notice this blog is rather dead. You see, quite sometime ago I forgot the password to this Tumblr. I tried resetting the password, but my email would not receive the reset emails. I even checked my junk mail. Getting annoyed with that it was easier to just make a new blog, which I did. Recently I found that my Tumblr app on my phone was logged into my old acount. I honnestly didn’t know I ever logged on to my blog on my phone. This being said I’m not going to start using this blog anytime soon. So I’ll just leave my new blogs name so you can fallow it if you want to. New Blog: katsoop.tumblr.com

Last summer My friend Cambria and I came up with this Idea for a spoof clan(Like from Warriors). These are the concept drawing for that clan.

Now they're suppose to be one big joke with no real plot, but I can help but start plotting a story for them. For once all the jokes are said and done. It has been a year, they have yet to have anything done with them and I am very tempted to do something with them now.

(By the By, the pictures ended up getting a bit pixelly when I had to up the contrast so you could actually see the drawings. Sorry)

Lion Sword - Made July 31 - Clay Process.

I have spoken of Baking/Firing my clay before. To do this I preheat the oven to 275 place my clay items on a tin foil sheet, which is then placed on a baking pan.

This particular project had to be baked over and over again to get all of it together and baked. First I made the base f the lion head, the hilt, and the blade. As you can see the blade is not at all in anyway sharp. It has no need to be.

Once those were baked the Hilt and head were squished into a lump of clay that would act as the base of the mane. Two top mane tufts were also added at this time.

Last to be added to the lion head was the mane itself. It got fire a separate time for each side of the head. On side's fur tufts were added while it lay on the other to bake. This way the tufts would not get warped while firing.

The sword was later hot glued into the mouth. Braided yarn and red eye paint were also added later. You can see this in the post with the completed piece.

To Fire Clay is to bake it in a Kiln.

A Kiln is a devise used to bake clay, resulting in it's hardening.

The Clay I use is Oven Bake Clay and does not get fired in a Kiln.

You bake it in the oven.

But now you know ruffly what I mean when I say 'firing the clay' or 'Baking the Clay'.

Lion Sword - Made July 31 - Mom's Birthday gift.

This is the completed Lion Sword Key Chain. As noted above it was made for my mom and a birthday gift. I spent half of her birthday working on it (Mostly while she was asleep). The eyes are painted Red, while the rest of the coloration on the clay is from it burning in the oven from the number of times I had to fire it to get all the fur tufts of the mane done. The golden colored yarn was braided and hot glued into out coves that were sculpted into the clay before firing.

This is just an update of some art I have done more recently. They're colors are all a bit off from scaning them, and I do not feel like messing with them in photo shop to fix their colors. I'm too tired for that.

The top three include Prince Gumball from Adventure time. Marshall Lee and Science the rat also appear in the pictures.

The next picture/largest picture is a more final design I am working on for dreamer Equius. Not sure when I'll actually get around to making the cosplay. I have other worries first.

The next pictures are of Pokemon from X and Y. The Starters and Talonflame.

The bottom row includes just some random creature I drew and a Mantid from WoW.

Mask for Ace from Rubyquest.

On the left is what the mask looked like after having been fired.

On the right is what the mask looks like now, in it's completed form.

The last picture is of the inside of the mask. When it is on everything is black aside from what can be seen out the one eye.

Ace is the antagonist from the web comic Rubyquest. I am not sure when exactly I will be cosplaying him, but I am a better part of the way done with this cosplay.
