Despite never liking to combat too much, Drang knew he should at least keep himself in check. His magic had been reduced to just barely enough for him to actually utilize it, and while he was thankful he got something — he was already missing his old magic. Not only because he missed being able to defend himself, but he terribly missed being able to do some impressive magic tricks. He’ll get his old strength back as if his life depended on it.
And so, he can be found within the training grounds of the city, focusing on one particular, and somewhat familiar, training dummy. In the blink of an eye, he uses his telekinesis and lifts the same ping pong balls that he received from the city and closes his eyes. He shows some distress on his features, unable to properly conjure powerful water magic, his usual go-to, leaves a sour taste on his mouth. He sighs, dejected — before his ears lift at the feeling of someone familiar nearby.
His awfully serious face swiftly changes when he spots the familiar captain. He’s beaming, glad to know she arrived in one piece. There’s something else, but Drang’s never been easy to read — for now, he’s just glad she’s here. “Oii! Hello there, Djeeta-chaaan!~” He knew he really had nothing to worry about, though. He’s seen her fight, and he’s very aware of how strong she is. “Been a while, hasn’t it? It’s nice to see you’re doin’ fine!” He’s got a lot to tell her, too. From the strange nature of the city, to the amount of sweet things he’s been able to find in such a small amount of time.
djeeta had only heard of the training grounds the city provided in recent days, but the idea of it brought with it a surprising feeling of relief. to be able to safely train, to be able to work out her frustrations and make sure her skills with a blade did not wane during their time on this island - it was ideal, really. the perfect way to pass her spare time outside of helping sandalphon with his new storefront, to make sure her fighting ability did not wane during this curious period of entrapment.
djeeta never wavered in being the sort of person who only felt relief when she was occupied with a task. she always needed something, anything to do - be it helping another with their work or training her combat abilities. sitting still simply wasn’t an option. it left her feeling restless, dissatisfied. most of her crew were aware of this boundless enthusiasm, and on several occasions had cautioned her about the risk of overworking herself, but the girl had yet to heed those warnings. thus, she had made her way to the grounds as soon as she had found the time to do so, a bounce in her step and her wooden blade clenched tightly in her fist.
the possibility of meeting someone she knew there had not been one she had considered, but it too was a welcome surprise. the training dummies could wait. ‘ oh! ’
the young captain’s expression brightens further at the sight of the lively erune, and she quickly dashes over to greet him properly. ‘ drang-san, hello there! you’re working hard, i see! ’ drang had been the djeeta person she had expected to find in a place dedicated to fighting, but she supposed that even he would have to hone his skills sometime. she doubted he had gotten so strong by sheer chance - especially not strong enough to win the approval of the black knight herself. ‘ i’m fine! nothing to worry about at all. are you also doing well? i hope this place hasn’t been too hard on you! ’
