My Egyptian Mythology Story

Yo. My entire Tumblr has been themed after Egyptian mythology ever since I made i last year, but I’ve realized that, not only have I not ever used it, but I also haven’t posted anything even remotely related to the Tumblr account’s goal. So, I decided that I may as well get a move on that whole “Egyptian mythology story” thing. So here’s my first book on the subject, The Book of Seth and the Creation of Everything. There’s only two chapters right now. Feel free to check ‘em out. Skull Practice!

Hello again everyone! For my first actual content post (what, real content? Hooray!) I decided to post the first two things in my brand new sketchbook-skull shape practice.

Yeah, not the most interesting art ever, but you have to practice the basics to get to the cooler stuff. I basically learned how to draw backwards in a way (which I'll elaborate on as time goes on) so I decided to fundmentally learn how to draw all over again and start from like... square 2-3?

All this to say... I'm deciding to practice how to draw skulls today for facial construction purposes. And considering Tumblr is a place to post blogs, AKA, random thoughts/life events wether people care or not, I felt it was appropriate.

Hello everyone!

     My name is Ankh, and l’m new here on Tumblr... sort of. l made this account months ago for some reason, and l never actually used it until today. l’m extremely confused at the moment and have no clue how anything works, and l  have some questions and concerns.

     My feed is filled with nothing but lame, bland “memes” and weird political topics and posts l’m frankly not interested in. l don’t know how or why that happened... none of this stuff really matches the preference tags l chose during my account’s creation. Perhaps my feed will be more tailored to my preferences the more l use Tumblr? ls there a way to manipulate my feed so that it’s at least a little more relevant? lf not, then oh well, l suppose.

     The rules and community guidelines here are odd. See, l’m used to social media platforms like Discord, with pretty much no rules at all, or Reddit, with simple and few rules. By comparison, Tumblr is extremely strict, which is... fine.. but l do have some questions. Some of the specifics of the guidelines here are confusing me, most notably the punishments for failing to follow them. Could somebody fill me in on that?

     Of course, there’s the elephant in the room: Tumblr’s “witch-hunt culture.” l’ve heard horror stories of people being relentlessly bullied off of the platform for pretty much anything, and frankly, l don’t want that to happen to me. Especially since my blog, minus this post and most of my re-posts, will be largely centered around the many ethnic groups who have and still do live in Egypt and a superhero concept based on the culture of the region, and l don’t want people to get the wrong idea about my writings and art. My intention is to run a peaceful blog where l post about and discuss story ideas, and l’d like to know things l should avoid doing to keep things that way.

     All of this to say... l’m extremely ignorant about Tumblr, the site/app’s functions, and the users here, beyond the snippets of information gathered from other people. lf anyone would like to educate me on any of these topics, please... uh... DM me l guess? Can users see re-posts for their blog posts? Can someone please explain to me how this site works? l’m so lost ;-;
