the best moment of my life.
uhm so this happened to me a few days ago at ethel's show in brussels... still very much in shock and processing it so i thought why not write about the best moment of my life.
For context before we go into detail about the moment, i was queuing since 7:30am to be at the barricade and to have a chance of interacting with her and i thankfully got both. I’ve been a big fan of hers for a few years now and this was her first show in belgium. Me being young, in a very religious family and from a small village at the time (still am) where barely any artists go to, especially more usa based artists go to, i couldn’t travel to another country for the shows so i knew this was my opportunity and i wanted to be at the front and i didn’t care abt any amount of queue hours.
So during the whole show i was blowing her kisses and waving at her and she waved back a few times and then i was holding up a small paper sign and she saw it while sitting down in front of us during waco, texas and smiled at me. (can't add the video unfortunately since tumblr has a 1 video per post limit and i wanna add the other moment as the video so i'll add a gif of the moment below)
After she finished crush, she came back to the right side of the stage where i was standing and she sat down, looked at me and said "i'm too scared to jump, give me your hand' and was looking straight at me for 5 seconds while holding and squeezing my hand, and me during all of this, i was having a fucking panic attack and was screaming 'PLEASE' (idek why i was just so nervous lol), jumping and crying my ass off, because THE woman who i listened, watched and cried to a endless amount of times knew of my existence and actually interacted with me... ↓
The one moment during this whole interaction that i'll never forget and will forever cherish is at the end when she let go of my hand, she blew me a kiss. I was blowing her kisses during the whole show and she saw it a few times, remembered it and blew me one back.
Hayden, i will forever be grateful for this moment and i will always and forever defend and love you, whether it's online or in real life, i'll ALWAYS be there. You saved my life a countless amount of times and i'll forever be thankful for you.
I also made a lot of friends and had A LOT of fun talking with people who actually had the same love and interests as me because you don't really meet a lot of people irl who have these same 'niche' interests, especially not while living in a small village, where you kinda only have farms and old people around you, so it was very nice for me to have that moment with them.
Thank you for this precious, beautiful and unforgettable moment and i’ll see you again in june ♡,
Love,
x
