Confident, sarcastic, and the absolute definition of "bad boy." Harlowe was adopted as a baby and has a strained relationship with his family. As the oldest out of the group, Harlowe is the de facto leader of the nephilim, a role that he doesn't take lightly. While he may be cold at first, Harlowe is loyal and very protective of his loved ones.

Don't let her kindness fool you, though. Her tongue is sharp enough to cut through metal. A fact that Harlowe himself has been acquainted with, one too many times.

Quiet, studious, and kind to a fault, Eden is the son of the local librarian, George Wright. George, who just so happens to be your mother's childhood friend (and might be able to help you find out more about your father). Though Eden is in your year, you rarely see him around. The man seems to prefer to hang out in the library when he isn't working at the coffee shop on campus or training. Regardless of his soft exterior, Eden is more than capable of defending himself and others, which is why Harlowe has chosen him as his second-hand.

If there is one word to describe Aena, it's responsible. As a Criminal Justice major and self-proclaimed "mom friend", Aena makes it a point to keep everybody on track. That being said, she still knows how to let loose and often spends her Friday nights at the local club with Florence and a few classmates. Aena is hard working and slow to anger, but when her fuse is lit, it's smarter to run and hide.

Your enigmatic English professor who always seems to have dark circles under his eyes and a coffee mug glued to one hand. Alistaire is the newest of the faculty at Moonveld University, and by far the favorite professor among the students. Whether that's due to his (surprisingly) entertaining lectures or his physical looks, it's unclear. What is clear is that there is more to him than meets the eye, and you aren't sure whether that's a good thing or a bad thing.

and of course, eden! i don't picture him to be as broad as he looks here, but everything else is pretty close. if the background looks out of place, that's because it is. i wanted to add better backgrounds for eden and harlowe than what the ai added.
and now, aena. turned out nearly perfect, she just has sharper features in my mind's eye!
and now, alistaire! unlike eden, alistaire is supposed to be more broad. he's also supposed to look around 27-28! he wears glasses and has more of a 5-o'clock shadow thing going on. but i couldn't figure out how to get that to work, so just imagine.
i've been hella busy with life HOWEVER i've been getting hit with the inspiration train lately so figured now was as good of a time as any to work some more on this.

I feel like he'd tense up at first, unsure of what to do. Internally panicking bc this is NOT a normal thing to happen to him. He'd play it cool tho, and probably wrap his arm around MC's shoulders and pull them in closer, maybe adjust them a bit so they're more comfortable while sleeping.
Florence
She'd freak out internally, both out of excitement and pure, "ohmyGOD they're so CUTE!!" vibes. Would be absolutely try to grab a blanket to be romantic and cover MC but would probably fail so miserably that she wakes up MC by accident.
Eden
Something tells me he'd be the one to fall asleep first. Buuuut if he isn't, I think Eden would probably wrap his arm around MC to steady them and then fall asleep, too. Upright cuddling or something. He and MC would both wake up with pain in their backs, though, because the position would not end up being comfortable.
Aena
Aena would freeze at first, but she'd get over the initial shock much faster than Harlowe. Would try to grab a blanket or nearby jacket or something so that MC isn't cold and can be comfy. She'd 1000% tease them about it when they wake up.
Alistaire
He'd be the only one to move MC away from him. But more out of respect for MC, ya know? Being in the crushing stage, Alistaire wouldn't want to accidentally cross any boundaries. So, he'd probably carry MC to the couch in his office & cover them with a blanket, then get back to grading papers or something.

Oooh, I had to think on this one a bit!! I didn't add many movie titles bc I personally am not a film buff and have very few movies I can think to reference, but I did try!
Harlowe
I think he'd love old-school movies of all kinds, like Sleepless in Seattle (he would not admit this to anybody except MC), Austin Powers, Dracula, and just about any/every Horror movie!
Florence
She's a Disney movie fanatic, for sure! I think she'd really love all of the old princess movies, but her favorites would be Sleeping Beauty and Mulan. I also think she'd love the Princess Diaries. And of course, any books that she loves that get turned into movies would be her favs by default, even if they aren't all that good!
Eden
Eden is a bit nerdy, so I definitely think he really likes the DCU and MCU a not-so-normal amount! He'd also love practically any movie based on a book series, although Harry Potter and Percy Jackson are at the very top of that particular list.
Aena
Legally Blonde and Mean Girls are her top 2 favorite movies of all time, hands down. I think she'd also love So Undercover, Herby Fully Loaded, and She's The Man - basically any early-2000's female-led popular movie. Of course, The Hunger Games is her favorite movie series of all time.
Alistaire
He probably doesn't watch movies much, but you cannot tell me that this man doesn't love a good Western. He'd also be a big fan of documentaries, just because they're interesting. I think he'd be disappointed in the Eragon movie so he wouldn't be a big fan of it, but he'd love the Twilight movies. He understands they're bad, they're just so entertaining!
I’ve sent a few asks on anon, and i wanted to say that i really appreciate how diverse you’re making this if - like letting the mc be trans for example, seeing that you’d make that possible honestly made my day. I’m super excited for this game, the premise and the characters are awesome!!

Some of my closest friends and family members are trans, so it was really a no-brainer to add it as an option for Skyline Heights. I want this IF to be as immersive as physically possible, so making sure that it's diverse is one of my top goals.
I will say, coding for diversity has not been easy (and I'm still having troubles, so if anybody has any pointers, PLEASE dm me!!), but I do think it'll be worth it!
As for majors, right now I'm planning on using very broad terms. This way, instead of having 20+ more niche majors listed out for choice (such as Physical Therapy, Nursing, Medical Assistant, etc.) it'll be just one term that covers all of them (so all of those listed and more will be included as the Healthcare major). To me, this makes more sense from both a coding and story-telling standpoint.
How many of these broad-termed majors will I be using? As many as I can think of (:
It should be noted that majors that the RO's are pursuing (so Law for Aena or Psychology for Harlowe) won't be under any broad terms, they'll be their own options.
First and foremost, I'm incredibly sorry that I haven't updated here for a while! I promise, Skyline Heights is still being written, however it has been placed on the backburner for the time being!
I've been going through a lot in my day-to-day life (college starting up again, work picking up pace, various medical issues and back to back travel plans being sprung on me, just to name a few!) and haven't had much time to work on my IF.
I have not abandoned Skyline Heights and I am not cancelling it, I'm just pausing it for the time being while I work to get back to a place where I feel I can give it the attention it deserves!
Alistaire gives me vibes that he would watch a very dramatized historical documentary or movie with MC and point out everything wrong with it as it goes on. 3 hours and a PowerPoint later and you suddenly have all the answers for your history exam that week. Watching Hamilton and he pauses and goes “No, the Schuyler sisters actually did have brothers, I don’t know why Miranda would bother to leave it out.” MC has to explain it was a creative liberty and he grumbles “well that’s just bad writing then, details are so important.”
You are ABSOLUTELY correct. Despite being an English teacher, Alistaire is a HUGE history buff. For many reasons. Largely because he doesn't like inaccuracies.
