Save Rock and Roll
Charlie Watts of the Rolling Stones during the performance of "You Can’t Always Get What You Want" in the One World: Together At Home Broadcast
Charlie’s face, every time someone in the band does something stupid.
I’m not your drummer. You’re MY fucking singer.
friends, together again.

Rest In Peace Charlie Watts <3
My heart goes to Charlie’s family and friends, as well as fans of The Rolling Stones. Thank you for your contribution in the world of Rock n’ Roll.
Me, retire? What am I gonna do? Mow the lawn? – Charlie Watts

Have you got any Charlie Watts stories?
I could tell that story about Charlie punching Mick in the mid-80s because he drunk-called him "his drummer" in the middle of the night and almost made him stumble out of a window and falling into the canals of Amsterdam, had Keith not saved him because he was wearing his wedding jacket, but that's old news...
so...other stories: Charlie wasn't just a jazz drummer, he actually also knew how to play the sax, he loved jazz music so much, it always was his thing, more than rock music
Charlie loved cars, he has a collection of oldtimer cars although he never got a driver's license but he would just sit in them and pretend to drive
He and Shirley really really adored dogs, they had many dogs throughout the years and some were allowed to sleep at the foot end of their bed and only last year they adopted a greyhound that was rescued from greyhound racing...
Charlie loved taking care of the stage designs together with Mick, they'd always get together and come up with new great ideas for each new tour...
The Stones have changed their website, so that all that shows in the tab is "Charlie Watts" and the only thing available to view is a candid of him.
Their commitment to showing their love for him endures.
It’s been years and years and years I’ve been playing the drums, and they’re still a challenge. I still enjoy using drumsticks and a snare drum.
