So, Bakugou is not the affectionate type, we all know that
As friends, he’d often grunt at you, but highkey demonstrate interest in whatever you had to say.
He’s a very good listener, and is promptly available to kick some ass for you, if you ever need him to
he’s not really good with words though, he never really knew how to put his sentiments into words
Because it is much more deeper than he ever could say it out loud.
He has such a huge crush on you, and you’re the only one who doesn’t understand that
Call it cliche or whatever, but you where never the “romantic type”
Also, if he never told you he liked you, how the fuck were you supposed to know he likes you?
You work with direct words, you’re not a mind reader.
So when bakugou calls you in the middle of the night, saying
“Hey huh…. Can you come outside?” You’re a little taken aback
Like, what the hell is he doing outside of your house at 2AM, on a work day?
You go, obviously, because, even though you’re not the romantic type, you feel some type of way about this man, you just don’t know how
You open the door, and there he stands awkwardly, with a bouquet of flowers in his hand
“What are the flowers for?” You ask, trying to decipher his face expression in the middle of the darkness, perhaps it would be a good idea if you turned on the lights
Bakugou just gives the flowers to you, taking you by surprise “for you”
“Wow, thank you… at 2AM, though?”
“I know this is sudden and I have no idea what I’m doing, but I like you” he blurts out, looking at your eyes.
“Like me, like me? Like… like me seriously?” You question in the middle of your confusion
What were you supposed to say? Did you like him too? Was it just a crush?
You didn’t even know how you really feel, how can you say it to him?
“Yeah, I like you seriously, and I want to know what you feel about me too.”
You start to think. What do you really feel about him?
“I really enjoy to spend time with you, and you’re usually really nice to me… I think you’re really handsome,” you notice his cheeks start to turn a little pinkish tone. “You’re also the first person I think about when something good happens to me, and I really want to talk to somebody…”
“Okay… so that means?”
“I don’t really know Bakugou… I don’t think I ever thought of you that way”
“But now you have the opportunity to. I just want to know if you want to try to know this side of me, or if I am being rejected and need to move on.” He explains sincerely to you, hands on his pockets.
After some thinking, you decide on what your hearts tells you to do
“I want to know you better, Bakugou. You know I’m not that romantic type of person, but I really do care about you, so I want to explore this feeling a little more.” You answer to him honestly
You notice a new light in his eyes, as he looks at you
“Good.”
You smile lightly
Both of you so awkward in the “love” subject
“If you want we can go out someday and eat ice cream or whatever” you hear him speak up after a few seconds of silence
“Yeah, I’d love to” you respond, securing the flowers in your hands.
The week after, you both go on said “hang out” and he takes you by the river, so you can both eat ice cream
You always felt comfortable around him, and usually you never had long periods of silence without a theme to talk about
It was easy to be around him, but does that mean you like him?
Only time would tell, right?
Bakugou, on the other hand, was sure he liked you, and lowkey appreciated you trying to discover what you felt about him
He thought you could like him back, so he tried his luck by confessing
And he did not regret
However long it took you to understand your feelings, he’d wait for you.
I still have requests to write I’m so sorry to be so late, but college is really hard, and I’ve been having some existencial crises and some trouble along the way
I started rewatching Attack on Titan because I lost interest in season 3 last year, but I really want to give it a last chance. Today I got to mid season 2, I’m enjoying it but I can’t stand Eren, Jesus Christ. My fave characters are Levi and Hanji, hope they don’t die.
Today I asked my sister to draw me a picture of bakugou, but she refused (this is the one she’s currently working on)

You were very close to the squad midoriya, which means that the closest people in UA times were Ochaco, Tsuyu, Iida and Izuku himself. That would be perfect, right? The only problem was your huge crush on the green curly-haired boy, while Ochaco liked him too.
Everything would indicate to a temporary crush, since you did not even think of the chance to confess your feelings for Izuku, because you wanted to keep the group intact, as well as your friendship with Ochaco and Izuku, in case he would feel something different for you.
You came to discover Ochaco's crush for Izuku one day during training, when Aizawa sensei formed groups of two people, and you were paired with Ochaco. While you were waiting for your turn to train, you were watching Izuku, and noticing your partner's gaze, you found the courage to ask.
"Do you like Izuku?" she blushed so much at your words that you didn't need any other kind of confirmation. You had a crush on the same person.
You never got to tell her that you liked Izuku too, so you were just waiting for the moment when the crush would relieve and eventually disappear. The problem was, it never disappeared.
It was then that, months later, on a certain day after school, you were all going back to your dormitories and excited to talk about an activity you were going to have the next day, when Izuku gently touched your arm.
"Can I talk to you for a second?" he asks, making you stop halfway through.
You looked at the other three who stopped further ahead, and you could see how suspicious Ochaco looked at the two of you. You wanted to say no, but Izuku hadn't even done you any harm, you couldn't deny a request like this... It probably wouldn't even be what you were thinking.
"yeah, of course you can." You answer with a little smile, to which Izuku answers in the same way. He then turns to the others and says.
"You can go, we're going." To his words, the rest of them continue their way and you notice that Ochaco is the last one to turn away, seeming apprehensive.
"What do you want to tell me?" you question a little nervously, not wanting to take the chance off the table, but at the same time, afraid of being exactly what you think.
Izuku blushes a little, looking around. "Can we sit on that bench? I need to think just a little bit more about how I mean this," he proposes, pointing to a park bench by the wayside.
"Sure." You answer, and they walk side by side, to the bench.
After sitting down, and a few more seconds of silence, Izuko looks you in the eye, after taking a deep breath and letting go of the words he always wanted to say.
"I like you, Y/n, in a way more than friendship." His cheeks are completely painted pink, and you know how much it took him to muster the courage to tell you something like this.
"I... What?" you answer after a few seconds in silence, ignoring all the butterflies flying at extreme speed inside your stomach, to the point of making you feel a little sick.
"I... I like you. I finally gathered the courage to tell you… I have liked you for a while now.” He explains without being able to look you in the eyes.
You feel your heart squeeze, because no matter how much you feel the same about it, in the back of your mind an image of Ochaco looking sad appears.
Fighting against the tears that threaten to appear, you clench your fists and get up from the bench without looking at him.
"Izuku... Sorry." you say, trying your best to contain the hiccups and the knot in your throat, trying to sound normal.
"oh... I thought... you'd feel the same." he speaks softly.
Swallowing dry and still not looking him in the eye, you answer. "I don't. I see you as a friend, Izuku... Please don't mess things up, or you'll put me in an uncomfortable position." Tears now fall at an astonishing rate. It's harder than you ever thought.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to." He quickly apologizes, getting up and walking in front of you. "Why are you... crying?"
When you noticed, his arms wrapped your body in a tight hug. "I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to make you so sad... I don't know what came over me." He keeps apologizing, and a guilty pain hits your body like a bullet, causing you to start sobbing.
You're making the boy you care about feel guilty about something he's not guilty about at all... since when do things have to be so complicated?
And if you talked to Ochaco, wouldn't she realise that you liked Izuku too? Wouldn't she accept, without ruining your friendship?
Like a big slap, Izuku breaks the hug and looks at the ground between you. "I'll move on... Don't worry. Everything will go back to normal." he smiles, what you can see as a forced smile that breaks your heart. " Should we go inside?"
Without looking at you again, the boy makes his way back to the dormitory and to his friends, leaving you there, alone with the guilt you felt for having broken the heart of the one you love.
