Respecting Authority | Independence 🇺🇸
In today's reading from Romans 13, Paul writes of submitting to governing authorities.
So whoever opposes the authority has resisted God’s direction, and those who have resisted will bring judgment on themselves. For leaders cause no fear for good behavior, but for bad. Now if you do not want to fear the authority, do what is good and you will get his approval— for he is God’s servant to you for your good.
God is our supreme authority, we are to put on the Lord Messiah Yeshua, and stop making provision for the flesh—for its cravings.
What an appropriate passage as we celebrate Independence Day! Let's celebrate the freedom we often take for granted and bring God into our lives every day. God Bless America, and may America bless God!
