It was only a matter of time before Slapstick ran into someone from the Initiative. More than a few continued on with the hero thing, even after it was revealed that the whole thing was just some Skrull plot to take over the world. What Slapstick didn’t expect was to run into someone like Trauma robbing a place.

     “My eyesight has got to be going, or maybe my memory, because I’m pretty sure you used to be a hero, but heroes don’t rob mom and pop shops,” Slapstick expressed, “Not saying I haven’t shoplifted once or twice, but yikes.”

What now, partner-in-anticrime?” Frankly, Badger’s already got a few ideas of his own. He slips out of the other’s surprisingly firm grip around his shoulder to spin in a circle, arm’s wide. What a loon! “We could go beat up some more hooligans who are disturbing the peace. My favorite side-hobby!” See, it’s the best kind of hobby when you can break bones doing it.

       “Hmm... Depends on how you define “hooligan” and “disturbing the peace”, because, honestly pal, I’ve had such slanderous terms thrown at me from time to time. You play a few pranks on some friends, and suddenly you’re a “menace to society” who “recklessly endangers” people.”

floss twice a day OR only floss the week before they go to the dentist

hold their jacket in their lap until everyone is boarded OR put it into the overhead compartment right away

run straight into the ocean OR slowly let their body adjust to cold water

run marathons OR marathons TV shows

consider french fries to count as a veggie OR make sure they have something green on their plate

set a timer when cooking OR constantly check and taste until it seems good

“Thanks, but you’d make a terrible Bonnie. I’d do it, but I don’t have the hair. So more like: Bonnie and Clyde, but heroes, and not a couple. Sooo. Not like Bonnie and Clyde at all. But close! Give this man a cigar!”

      Slapstick gasped like being told he’d play a terrible Bonnie was the worst offense possible. “How dare you sling around allegations like that. I am a great actor.” He refuted, before producing a large cigar and propped it in the corner of his mouth. “But it’s fine. We’ve only just met. I’ll show you, and the academy what kind of acting chops I really have one day. Mark my words.”

       “The important thing is that you didn’t say no, partner.” Slapstick grinned.

“You know what they say, pal: It ain’t the size of the hammer but the heft of the swing!” He’s still grinning, though. He can tell that the two of them are going to get along juuust fine. God help the planet Earth.

      “Finally someone who gets me.” Slapstick grins, wrapping an arm around the Badger’s shoulders. “You wouldn’t happen to be looking to do a team-up would you? We could be like Bonnie & Clyde– but heroes... of course!”

“Yow! I’m gonna need a bigger stick.” He says, waving his pole-arm around as if comparing it to the hammer. He tosses it, though, no longer needed now that the situation is handled.. probably. “I’m the Badger,” He says, pointing to himself with his thumb. “Captial B, not the mammal, although I am a fan.”

      With a flick of his wrist, Slapstick makes his original hammer disappear and produces another one that is comically huge; so much so even he seems to “struggle” under it’s weight. “Don’t worry, my stick is always bigger.”

“This guy! This guy gets it!” He is very, very amused by the cartoon hammer in the..strange, warped man’s hand. “Larry! Do that thing again!”

      Slapstick hesitated a moment, not used to people applauding him, but he quickly gets over that. The petty criminal he was chasing was starting to recover from the initial pounding, and not being one to miss out on comedic timing, Slapstick obliged the new arrival by hitting the criminal over the head with his hammer while saying, “The name’s Slapstick!” making sure to punctuate ‘Slapstick’ with the blow.
