New York City is becoming ground zero of the fight against civil liberty.  Mayor Bloomberg and the NYPD have installed trial terahertz X-Ray scanners on the street corners of the city, scanning passersby for guns under their clothing and in their bags.  Never mind that terahertz rays have been shown to tear apart DNA...

New gun shoots DNA laced tracer bullets to track humans like animals.

The pellets weigh 1g each, are accurate from a range of 30-40 meters (98-131 feet) and come in a pack of 14, all of which share the same DNA code. SelectaDNA has previously been used in an anti-intruder spray; the company says their invisible, harmless DNA trace marks will "remain on an offender for weeks."

Make the public aware of corporate misconduct? You are a felon.

In June of 2010 there was an AT&T webserver on the open Internet. There was an API on this server, a URL with a number at the end. If you incremented this number, you saw the next iPad 3G user email address. I thought it was egregiously negligent for AT&T to be publishing a complete target list of iPad 3G owners, and I took a sample of the API output to a journalist at Gawker.

I was convicted of two consecutive five-year felonies, and am now awaiting sentencing.

As the police state advances, those hired to protect us are bound to turn against us.

San Diego has been the center of the coming Police State for years now and this story is a perfect example.

The ACLU filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the FBI asking for details on their surveillance policy, including the circumstances of who, what, when and why it spies. The FBI responded by sending 100 blank pieces of paper.

When you have a government that fosters the belief that anything is fair game in the name of safety, due process and the constitution be damned, things like this are going to be much more common.

In several cases, those who were arrested did not drink alcohol, said Robert Sykes, one of the lawyers who filed the complaint, which names Ms. Steed and the Highway Patrol as defendants.

“We were all separately getting calls about Lisa Steed from people saying: ‘I was pulled over. I wasn’t doing anything wrong. She told me I smelled like alcohol, but I hadn’t been drinking,’ ” Mr. Sykes said.

“They would pass the sobriety test with flying colors. But Steed would say they were still impaired and arrest them.”

And now apparently playing cops and robbers is grounds for suspension.  

"In a letter to Lynch's parents, the vice principal of Roscoe R. Nix Elementary School said their son had been sent to the principal's office three times on Dec. 20 for pretending his fingers were scissors and then a gun. After the third incident, he was suspended, according to the letter, obtained by WJLA."

This is a first grader playing on the playground with his friends.  Maybe if he threw down gang signs instead of pretending to have scissors and a finger gun he would be permitted an education.

It has come to light in documents received through Freedom of Information requests that our FBI deemed the Occupy Wall Street protesters to be "Domestic Terrorists" and "Criminals".  And why then would they even consider trying to stop a planned assassination attempt against them.

From an FBI document marked "SECRET":

An identified [redacted] of October planned to engage in sniper attacks against protesters in Houston, Texas, if deemed necessary. An identified [redacted] had received intelligence that indicated the protesters in New York and Seattle planned similar protests in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Austin, Texas. [Redacted] planned to gather intelligence against the leaders of the protest groups and obtain photographs then formulate a plan to kill the leadership via suppressed sniper rifles.

And of course none of these targets were notified of the danger they were in.

I think we have passed that point of no return where we can actually get our house in order, I believe there is too much bipartisanship on the spending. Nobody is talking about cutting any spending. Republicans and Democrats, they pretend they’re fighting up there, but they really aren’t. They’re arguing over power, spin, and who looks good, and who looks bad, but they’re all trying to preserve this system where they can spend what they want, take care of their friends, and let the Fed print money when they need it.

What better way to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ than sending innocent people off to meet him in person.  

On Christmas Eve, Obama fired off two drone strikes in his War on "Terror". These drone strikes targeting "al Qaeda operatives" always leave a trail of innocent deaths in their wake.  And in case you didn't know, the drone program has only had a 2% success rate of killing the right people.

It has been fearfully reported this week that the TSA has found over 1500 really scary weapons this year in carry on luggage, of which 85% were loaded with scary ammunition.  

The irony is that if these passengers had just placed the guns in a shirt pocket, they could have made it through the DNA-mutating nudie body scanners completely undetected.

In what can only be described as disturbing, the Fourth Amendment Protection Act failed 79 to 12 in the Senate today.  The act hoped to extend Fourth Amendment guarantees to electronic communications and required specific warrants granted through FISA courts in order to obtain such information.

This liberty defending measure was proposed by Sens. Rand Paul and Mike Lee (R-Utah) as an amendment to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act Amendments Act Reauthorization Act of 2012.  The 12 Senators who voted on the side of liberty were:
