really though... could you imagine... im sure for some systems being able to compare detailed sleep data with front data could be huge. not for us because. well. you know. I'm frontstuck and no one else is active anymore. but for other systems with disordered sleep it could 100% be a huuuuuugely helpful tool. maybe someday i can make it myself... along with the music player i mentioned but idk how that'd work as a standalone program. uwaahhhh

Hey guys!

It’s been quite a while since our last update, and I know many of you have already spotted the new icon and banner! The truth is, we’ve been navigating a really difficult period in our life — dealing with homelessness and having to relocate due to domestic violence. Throughout that time, we made the choice to put our energy into researching all the features our wonderful community has been asking for, and building a prototype to get a real sense of what we’re working with going forward. It’s honestly been going great so far! We genuinely thrilled to show you all what we’ve been working on, and I really hope it resonates with you the way it has with us!

Alongside that, I’ve been looking into how to make sure Concordia can be hosted on servers capable of handling high volumes of users, while also keeping everyone’s private data secure. There’s so much that goes into running a platform like this that most of the plural community never sees, and honestly, the devs behind Simply Plural (may they rest easy after all they gave this community) and the other apps currently holding fort for our community deserve a huge amount of credit for everything they put into their work — because wow, it really is a lot!

So please know: Concordia is not going anywhere! There are no plans to end this project, and no reason there ever should be. This is something we’ve been thinking about — and even working on in bits and pieces — for a while now, and we’re genuinely passionate about its future for the long haul. Progress may be gradual, and some stretches will move slower than we’d like, but we’ve always been upfront that Concordia was never going to come together overnight. It’s meant to help close the gaps in stability that apps like this haven’t fully addressed for systems yet, and stability takes a lot of planning.

Over the next few weeks and months, you’ll be hearing from us far more regularly. Alongside this, we’re archiving all previous posts on this blog, and will be rolling out new ones covering everything from Concordia itself, our new star-themed branding, planned features, and even some early looks at the current prototype. We couldn’t be more excited to introduce you all to the new Concordia!

i still really want to do that big serious plural survey (with options to answer for a whole system and also individual members, with multiple submissions allowed of course) but i worry we dont have the skill for that right now. i also worry that we wouldnt be able to find enough sensitivity readers (since the goal is to be as inclusive as possible)... someday I'll start up a proper census for this kind of thing!!

Sending this ask on anon just so I feel more comfortable asking what I want to ask, hope you don't mind.

I have been researching a lot about plurality for years now, and interacted with many systems. I am not sure if what I feel is real or not, but I have been questioning if I could be plural myself.

If you are comfortable with such, could I ask you how you figured out your own plurality? Are there any resources that helped?

Parts of mine I was def scared about cuz we don’t have a disordered system, rather we’re just plural. A lot of it originates with masking and our fear of being alone, so we used to see headmates as imaginary friends or just oddly hyper realistic masks we would put on.

We don’t really have many resources unfortunately sorry about that T-T a lot of it has just been vibes. We feel as if our headmates are individuals in their own rights, and since learning more of what plurality can encompass we like using that label.

There’s definitely some contention about endogenic plurality, so we do not recommend trying to look into that part too deeply T-T

We do highly recommend @/positivitygenic (and particularly filtering for the plural positivity tag) that’s a very good blog for some more information about it ^^

Also if any of my other moots have some stuff feel free to leave it I’m fs not an expert on any of this

i also recommend positivitygenic, although that blog is moreso for affirmation posts. very very important blog though

for looking up terms and sifting through different experiences: pluralpedia!! a catalogue of plural terms, basically. we like looking through it sometimes and reading about different experiences from our own ^^

for learning more about what it's like: the plural tags on tumblr (pluralblr, plurality, actually plural, etc) are a great place to get a feel for it!! if you come across anyone(s) who say they're okay with questions you can also ask for more input. plural tags in particular come with the upside of being inherently inclusive to endo and willogenics (since the terms were made to encompass the entirety of the community) so you wont come across as many unpleasant folks as you would in the multiplicity and dissociative disorder tags (not that those terms are only for "anti-endos", but rather that they weren't made specifically to include endogenics and such, so they're less safe). some people who are anti-endo/willo still post in those tags though, so if you notice anti-endo/willo tags you should probably block that user

(on a similar note, you can also use a blocklist just to be safe. @plural-blocklist is a good one)

if you ever need info on something specific and dont know where to ask though you can also send an ask to us (either here or on our main @we-flew-with-it ) and we'll explain it!

as a general rule of thumb, reminder that Plural and System are opt-in terms!! the only requirement to being plural is calling yourself plural. the plural experience is vast and undefinable, so if you feel it describes you(&) well, then go for it!! no matter what some assholes say it wont hurt anything

it's strange to say we aren't introject-heavy but like, we sort of aren't? im a fictive and we have many introjects who are very prominent but in the past almost all our frequent fronters weren't introjects, sans miku and ami and maybe some more that slip my mind. I'm the outlier here

A lot of guides I have found, tend to be very limited, or vague in what they are trying to convey. One I was able to find was actually from a neocities site.

How 2 Plural

Other things that help will an alter/fragment/willomate into existence is sometimes music can be a good trigger. Alongside being able to have a vivid imagination. Maybe there is a fictional character you feel very closely knit too, whether in a spiritual way or other, you can see if a fragment can be made through them as a small test. Giving them essentially as much of a personality as you possibly can.

Sometimes making blogs for that specific willomate you want can also be beneficial. Pintrest boards where you save pins for your willomate has also helped. telling your willomate about your day, about routines, about conflicts, asking simple questions, reading stories- all that and more can also help. At the beginning, there's quite a bit of puppeting, as time goes on and they form more, you may begin to notice more autonomous responses and feelings. its important to let that thrive and flourish.

Being able to tap into some form of connection, whether spiritually, emotionally, whatever that may be to you, is most important. It might take a few tries, just remember to be very open about it. If you ever feel like it is overwhelming, it is okay to take a step back, and return to trying another day. Always put yourself and your well being first and foremost.
