so im watching the f//orce awakens and i just watched the part where han  dies and i just think about how broken han must feel when that happens.  like YOU KNOW han knew what was going to happen. he knew by going  out onto the bridge, he was going to die. he didn’t WANT to believe it, but he knew it.  and then when leia FEELS han die. and she knows it was ben who did it. she know exactly what’s going on and it’s killing her.  and then chewie. chewie knowing that the little boy he once knew, the little boy he watched grow up is GONE. and imagine how much it hurts chewie to shoot him. and you know he purposely missed. he couldn’t kill ben but he could maim him enough.  and then luke feeling it. luke feeling han’s death, feeling that it was ben.  his mistake. where he went wrong. his worst FEARS coming true. and he takes all the blame.  and then anakin. padme. obi-wan. watching from beyond. seeing it all  happen. anakin feeling a strange SYMPATHY for ben, because he knows EXACTLY how that feels--being torn apart. he’s angry, yes, be he knows that feeling. and he remembers when he and obi-wan were fighting. when he and luke were fighting. he KNOWS this feeling. and he’s all too familiar with it. padme feeling angry. and feeling sorrow for leia. because she knows how it feels to loose someone to the dark side but she also knows what it’s like  to hold on to that feeling--that there is STILL GOOD IN HIM.  and obi-wan. who watches the emotions of rey and finn. who knows that pain, that anger. he remembers watching qui-gon being killed by darth maul. and he remembers that anger and that feeling of utter hopelessness. but he wants them to know there’s still HOPE. there is always hope.  fml im fucking crying i hate this shit.

reblogging that timeline post re: star wars had me thinking about how exactly the SW universe understood time ie days, months etc etc. as such! i did a little digging around and i found a thing.

 DISCLAIMER: this is based off the Legends and not Disney approved canon. It may be entirely wrong, but I figure it’d be a good start for those interested until we get something concrete .

To summarize:

60 seconds = 1 minute 60 minutes = 1 hour 24 hours = 1 day 5 days = 1 week 7 weeks = 1 month 35 days = 1 month 368 days = 1 year 10 months + 3 festival weeks + 3 holidays = 1 year

The days of the weeks are:

1) Primeday, 2) Centaxday, 3) Taungsday, 4) Zhellday, 5) Benduday

There’s been no mention of what months are called.
