freshly landed, newly STRETCHED: it would be an understatement if she were to express, in thought or in voice, that she felt no disquiet at her core. this was her first true mission, as it was his. it was their first mission together, though she was conscious it would in no way be their last. her mind had long since been cemented into the Order’s PRINCIPLES, locked so tightly into her system it came now as second nature: the capacity to harm, the capacity to severely maim, the capacity to kill ( the capacity to feel nothing at all; and yet, those moments were closer between than she’d liked ).
her helmet was already secured, tight above the SHELLS over her shoulders. she approached him fully armoured: no spring her step, no eagerness in her fluidity. but there was a blaster held tightly in her arms, snug against her chest plate. ‘ to the northwest is where we should be headed from here. ’ the vocoder stuttered ( not her! ). ‘ are you READY, sir? ’

he watched it all happen--this young man’s transformation into something so dark and twisted, it made anakin FEEL something he hadn’t felt in SO many years. he watched as han fell--the LOVE of his daughter’s life...GONE within mere seconds. he felt anger, he felt sadness, he felt sorrow but he felt his godson’s PAIN. “stop this, ben...before it’s too late.” as if he HADN’T already...
