Where do you live now?Err, well, before coming here.

"Sunnydale," she answers. "A little cleaner than LA but not quite as... uh, safe. And I don't mean muggings." She puts her fallen smile back on. "That's really cool that your dad is a detective! You must have a lot of great stories. My friends and I are kind of detectives too. Uh, except for the part where we solve, you know, crimes and stuff."

Excadrill nuzzled Buffy’s hand affectionately “I actually keep my Excadrill indoors a lot o’ the time…” Clay raised an eyebrow. “Why’d they get eaten back ‘ome? Is it because o’ those demons ya mentioned before?”

 "Yeah, the demons," she says, smiling at the critter and scritching him under the chin. "Not a lot of wildlife around Sunnydale. Well, non-hellish wildlife, anyway." She frowns at Clay's words. "Nasty things?" she asks suspiciously. "What kind of nasty things are we talking about here? 'You're ugly and your mother dresses you funny'? Or... what?" ((loppy bby I'd forgive you anything))

Well, I’m from Los Angeles, California. I live near this park called Temsik Park, and my dad’s a detective. Best detective in the world, that is! I also have a kitten named Sissy! But he’s ten years old! Isn’t that amazing?

 Buffy perks up. "I'm from California too! In fact, I used to live in LA. That's great, I didn't expect to meet someone from home! Awesome! And I love cats too, so, hey, bonus!" She holds up her hand for a cheerful high five.

  I was just…sort of thinking about home. But that’s pointless, right?

 Buffy laughs a little ruefully. "It's not pointless. I haven't been here long, but it seems like a lot of people have, and... well, what if we finally get to go home and we don't even really remember it because we stopped thinking of it?" She realizes how sort of theatrical that sounds and coughs. "I mean... well, I just, I had a friend. Who. Well." She shrugs. "Anyway, I think you should think about home. It'll remind us why we want to get back, at the very least. Maybe you could tell me about yours?"

Buffy is out wandering around again, trying to think of an escape plan, when she spots the young girl. She’s seen her around but never said hello. She stops near her and gives a friendly smile but says nothing in case the girl doesn’t feel like being bothered—Giles once taught her the cranky way that some people don’t like to be interrupted when they’re thinking. The VERY cranky way.

[Kamila snaps out of her dreamland at the friendly smile, feeling a little flustered. She eventually regains her composure and gives the older girl a friendly smile in return, greeting her with a;]

He rolled his eyes. This was why he didn’t like being around people, they were annoying and confusing. “I see.” He didn’t bother pushing and trying to get an answer from the girl, it’s not like he really cared anyway. He had better things to do than worry about what someone thought of his name.

“It’s not the trailer,” he admitted. “I just don’t really care for strangers.” His expression held indifference, his voice sounded more than a little bored. He could care less about the living conditions after staying 30 years in a coffin. He just raised an eyebrow slightly as she gave her opinion on the other two trailermates.

One Buffy eyebrow goes up. Boy, what a sweetheart. "Yeah? Okay, that's cool. Takes all kinds, right? Some people use 'strangers' to refer to people they haven't met, and some people use it to refer to their roommates," she smirks. She can sense he wants her to go away, and for some reason it makes her feel like being ornery. "So," she says, rocking back on her heels innocently. "Where you from?"

The bear lit up at that, for he loved making things for new friends and it seemed that out here, new friends were all he had. “You’re very welcome, miss Buffy.” Said Pooh politely. He was quite happy to receive the hug, and returned it with his own version of a bear hug, the bear did enjoy hugs. “I do too, so far.” He added a little quietly. And then he laughed and threw his arms behind his back at the compliment. “Thank you!” He said loudly with a grin, and he thought, with a roommate as kind as Buffy, he really didn’t have anything to fear about his other two rommies.

She smiles. "You've made some friends too, huh? Maybe you can introduce me to yours and I can introduce you to mine." She looks around again and wrinkles her nose. "And maybe we can fix this place up a little bit. I've helped fix up the house and the library more than once after a bad fight. I'm sure we could do something with this place."

“May I ask what amuses you so?” He raised an eyebrow noticing how she found his name funny. He watched as she tried to change her exprssion. His eyes turned to take in the surroundings until he heard her speak again. He blinked for a second, oh, right. No wonder he thought her name sounded a little familiar. He let out a faint sigh. “I suppose we are. Not that I’ll be there a lot.”

"Oh nothing," she says, shaking her head seriously. "Nothing at all." She wasn't going to write him off the potential-vampire list yet, of course, but really... not even Spike got that campy. Vincent Valentine? Might as well call himself Count Von Brooding.  "Really? Don't chill at the trailer much, huh? Can't say I blame you. That place is a wreck." She smirks. "Pooh is pretty sweet though. And Dudley is very nice, too."

He studied the girl, she seemed to be a little on edge. Curious… He studied her lips twitched into a frown hidden by the cowl of his cloak. His red eyes narrowed a little as he studied her. She seemed like a normal enough girl, but he knew better than to judge people by their appearance. She spoke and he relaxed a little bit.

“Vincent Valentine.” He introduced himself with a slight bow of his head. “The pleasure is mine.” Not really, he didn’t particularly care for people, but oh well.

"Vincent Valentine?" she repeats incredulously, barely surpressing a snort of laughter. She tries to school her face quickly into solemnity--he doesn't seem like the kind of guy that could really take a joke. Something occurs to her, however, and she snaps her fingers. "Oh yeah! I've heard your name before. I think we're trailermates or whatever." Oy. What fun. He really seems like a super-duper ray of sunshine.

Buffy studies the rather pale and grim dude in front of her and fingers her stake. He seems awfully... theatrical for a vampire, though. She can't remember ever having encountered one that actually went for the whole black-clothes-with-a-blood-red-cape getup. Probably just a weirdo that didn't get enough sun. "Hi. I'm Buffy. It's a, uh... pleasure to meet you."

“Yeah, it sure is.” Another step. “So I hope you don’t, you know, take it personally or anything. Sacred duty. Can’t have you slurping down the good citizens of…” she looks around and gestures vaguely. “…Whatever this place is.” She shrugs. “You know how it goes,” she says, lifting her stake.

[He was making weird terrified sounding squeaks, backing up, tripping over his own feet and falling to the ground. This was yet again, one of the most terrifying moments of his entire life.]

She stops. Looks at him. He is acting pretty freaked out for your average vamp... "Okay, not saying I believe you, but why not? Are you ensouled?" She crosses her arms again. "I'm going to need a character motivation or something here."
