It’s… an orchid…
Is it your favorite?
coyote-grace:
And that’s why humans are weak.
In this day and age ... yes. And it pains me to see it, really.
invisibleglory:
“Correct…You’re a real glass-half-full kinda girl, aren’t you?”
I prefer the term realist. Though ... yes, I suppose for the most part I am an optimist. I just don’t see the point in fixating on non-existent or minor inconveniences when there’s an egregious flaw staring everyone right in the face. And, try as I might, it’s a flaw I cannot seem to wipe out, so instead I focus on what’s good.
invisibleglory:
“Okay, you’re right,” she admitted. “It’s not all bad. Just mostly!”
And most is better than all, correct?
saltitare:
**pulls one out of her hair and hands it to her**
( Louisa accepts the flower, tucking it behind her ear ) Thank you. What kind of flower is it? It’s beautiful.
coyote-grace:
Why is anyone overly sensitive in the first place? I don’t get it. People should just grow up and take what comes at them with their pride still intact
From what I’ve learned, people these days seem to be more coddled and parent-or-adult-reliant. They’re practically put into armor until they’re in their twenties, at which point the armor is stripped away and they’re left bare, soft, and fragile, having had no chances to toughen up their skin when they were younger. Which, in turn, makes them overly sensitive.
saltitare:
Yes…
Do you… want one…?
I would love one if you’re offering.
Thank you.
philosophyrants:
I fucking HATE men I haTE the way they’re socialized I hate the way they talk I hate the way they take off their shirts like the world wants to see their nasty nipples I hate the way they don’t shave the fucking birds nest in their armpits but throw up a fuss if girls have leg hair I hate the way they think they’re the center of everything and how they erase women’s contribution to literally everything and make women believe that they’re worthless and sexualize women’s bodies I hATE men
saltitare:
**fiddles with some of the flowers in her hair**
I like those flowers. Did you put them in yourself?
saltitare:
Hello…
Hello.
invisibleglory:
“Oh, right. That’s disgusting…But there’s another perk of being invisible, I guess–I’d never have to worry about that.”
... I guess finding the silver linings of your invisibility aren’t as difficult as you first thought, right?
saltitare:
… I don’t know…
I see. Understandable. I was just curious; I can’t imagine what I would do if another eight or so hours were available to me in day. ... I’m Louisa, by the way. I don’t believe we’ve met.
invisibleglory:
“Hey, most invisible folk are pretty decent people! Or…well…at least we’re not perverts. But I can’t vouch for visibles who use invisibilty charms.”
I never said you weren’t. And that’s exactly what I was talking about - I’ve heard one too many stories about ... men ... saying what they would do if they were invisible.
coyote-grace:
No. I just don’t like using it to describe my hunting. It makes it sound more gruesome than it really is.
There’s not really anything that’s a ‘touchy subject’ for me…
I see.
Well then, it’s good to hear you’re not overly sensitive to anything. I happen to be the same way, but I can’t say the same for everyone else.
saltitare:
I don’t really… notice it… I don’t need to sleep… and it’s more convenient… to stay up…
I thought as much. What do you do when others are asleep?
invisibleglory:
“From what I hear. Then again, I haven’t actually witnessed anything so it could be all talk.”
You’re one of the rare people who wouldn’t - or don’t, in your case - abuse their invisibility by spying on people in intimate situations. It’s good to know some people around here have integrity.
saltitare:
I don’t know… Whenever I… feel like it… I guess…
Is it useful? Do you find you can get more done when you don’t sleep, or is it something you don’t really notice or take advantage of?
