Okay, so after the whole deal with mothys I decided to make a post explaining my views on pedophilia and shipping to cope, that way I can just refer them to this post rather than explain the same thing over and over again.

Okay, so according to one of their supporters, pedophilia is not a mental disorder because it can’t be cured…. well, only very few mental disorders can actually be cured? Most are only treatable, like pedophiliac disorder. Just because it cannot be cured doesn’t mean that allowing pedophiles to have easier access to treatment won’t make the community safer. If they get treatment, they will be less likely to harm children which will mean less children will be abused. Wow, look at how logical that is! They should still stay away from children of course and they definitely shouldn’t be in relationships with minors and if they are offending pedophiles, then yes, they do need to go to jail. No questions asked. Allowing pedophiles to get proper treatment for their mental disorder is not the same thing as being a pedophile apologist. I am simply acknowledging that these people are born with a disorder that they have no control over and that, yes, they are a danger to society, but that doesn’t mean they deserve to die if they haven’t done anything to harm actual people. As long as they are non-offending, are going through treatment, don’t watch/look at cp, don’t call pedophilia a kink or a sexuality, and stay away from children then they don’t deserve to be killed or thrown in jail. They are people just like the rest of us and they deserve to be treated as such. Also, due to personal discomfort, I do also ask people to remember that pedophilia is not the correct term for every single case. It only covers a certain age and development group, for other cases the terms hebephilia or ephebophilia should be used instead. However if you insist on using pedophilia as an umbrella term then I won’t try to argue with you about it.

As for shipping to cope, how dare anyone try to tell people that their coping method is invalid. Just because it doesn’t work for you doesn’t mean it’s impossible for it to help anyone else. Coping ships have been approved and even suggested by many psychologists and yet these people, generally untrained minors, randomly decided that they were the experts on coping methods just because it involved ships they didn’t like. If a person needs ships to cope, don’t you antis dare tell them they are disgusting for it. It is a real and valid method no matter how these antis feel about it.

Also, because apparently this is something people still argue over, yes, biphobia is real.

I’m sorry but why are you back? Why did you feel the need to come back after we both agreed to block each other?

Pedophilia is a mental disorder! POCD and Pedophiliac Disorder are valid disorders! Just because it’s a disorder doesn’t mean they get an excuse for harming kids just like a murderer doesn’t get an excuse if they happen to have a mental disorder. A crime is a crime and having a mental disorder doesn’t make it any less awful or illegal. If a pedophile harms a kid, they need to be locked up. But if they haven’t hurt a kid then they need to be treated to make sure that they don’t. How is that making an excuse for them?

They can’t control the thoughts just like a depressed person (like me!) can’t control their thoughts. However! They can control their actions and if they choose to hurt a kid then they are bad! Having a mental disorder is never an excuse for being a shitty person!

The actual action of hurting a child is called child molestation! And it is scientifically proven that not all child molesters are pedophiles and not all pedophiles are child molesters! Seriously, I say this all the time but you obviously aren’t listening when I say it, but look it up! It’s right there on google, first link that’s listed. It’s not hard to find! If a person molests a child, then they are awful and should go to jail!

It isn’t justification when all I’m trying to do is got non-offending pedophiles to get treatment so they don’t hurt children! By treating them they are less likely to hurt children and then less children will be abused! If they are offending pedophiles then they need to be locked up!

By refusing to acknowledge the fact the pedophilia is a disorder you are making it harder for them to get treatment and therefore making them more dangerous! I am not saying that if they have hurt a child then “Oh it’s not their fault, it’s their disorder! They can’t help it!” I am saying that in order to prevent them from hurting children they need to be treated but if they have hurt children they need to be locked up.

Please explain to me how that is giving them an excuse? Cause you’re previous “explanation” doesn’t make any sense with what I’m saying. Saying pedophiles need to stay away from kids, get treatment, not watch cp, etc. and get locked up if they do hurt kids is no where near an excuse for them and as a survivor I am extremely offended that you constantly call me a pedophile apologist when I am just trying to make the world safer. While you on the other hand don’t even bother to do research on the subject.

Please please understand what I am trying to say! This isn’t about making excuses! If you don’t get it even after all of this just block me, like we agreed to do, and stop trying to bring all this drama back up. Neither of us are pedophile apologists, we are both survivors, and we are just trying to make the world safer in different ways. There is no need for us to argue about it.

And whoever says it is, are pedophilia apologists as well.

Now onto shipping pedophilic ships to cope.

That’s honestly the most self-destructive way to cope with abuse. Understandably using minors + incest to cope is alright.

But using say, Rick Sanchez + Morty Smith in a ship to cope is downright disgusting and you need to get that checked out.

Call me whatever you want, but youre justifying pedophilia and your coping mechanism is extremely toxic.

At the end of the day, you’re still a person trying to act like you know what you’re talking about even when you don’t. At the end of the day, you are still refusing to listen to logic and reasoning and instead attack and seriously hurt people who don’t agree with you. At the end of the day, you are still just acting out of anger and hurt instead of actually doing anything to help the community. Acting like I’m a pedophile apologist just because I am trying to make the community safer is not going to save children. It is not going to protect anyone. Calling survivors who want to protect kids so they don’t have to go through what we did “pedophile apologist” is awful and disgusting. I’m sorry you don’t agree, but I’m not going to apologize for trying to save children.

Now, onto to shipping to cope. You don’t know what works for me. You don’t get a say in what method other survivors use. Using ships to cope has been approved by psychologists and just because it may not work for you doesn’t mean it doesn’t work for others. Ever since I’ve started shipping Billdip I’ve come to terms with what happened to me. I’ve become happier and I’ve started being able to trust the people around me more. I’ve started to heal. How is that self-destructive? Telling other people their method is invalid is wrong because you don’t know how my brain works and you don’t know what my brain needs to heal. And…. I don’t even ship Rick and Morty???

Call me what ever you want, but you’re not helping anyone, you are not saving children, and you’re still only attacking a fellow survivor. If you can’t understand that, then there’s nothing I can do for you. I can only wish you the best and hope that you eventually understand.

If you’d actually read what Night has written, she’s explained, in length, that pedophilia is a mental disorder. We’re not saying its okay or justifying that it’s okay to be attracted to children. Please, reread before you make claims kid.
