I am tired, very tired of the discussion around AI assisted creation, which has been mostly fueled by self proclaimed artists who never got the recognition they believe they deserve and the misinformed people they manipulate.
Artificial Intelligence is a time saver tool. Like other tools both in the digital and the tangible worlds.
Many of those imagery self proclaimed artists are either hypocrites or just dumb. In the tangible world, do they create the paint/ink they use? Do they create the pencils/pens/brushes they use? Or they just use their skills and imagination? The very same applies to the digital world. They did not create the software they use for their images. And many recent versions of that software are even AI assisted.
It's time for people to start using… their brains. And put things into a proper, honest perspective.
The AI images I get are never exactly what I request, they are never my complete vision, they all need retouching, adding or removing parts, etc. It's like photography. Even in the old days, photography was only really produced in the lab. Retouching, adjusting light/contrast, re-framing. Nowadays, most photography is created with digital tools. What the camera captures is only part of the whole process, the emotional part. Rationalization comes later, in the lab, when photographers reflect on the image the camera got, and they make adjustments... Or, sometimes, even thinking about it under a totally new perspective.
The most important is never the tools we use, it's our imagination and vision. And AI can never take that away from us.
