I don’t think about art while I work. I try to think about life.

SpaceX just ushered us into the future of space flight
On Monday night, SpaceX, Elon Musk’s private aerospace company, launched its Falcon 9 rocket into space and landed it, upright, unexploded, back at Cape Canaveral. Why this is such a big deal.

Lava flows from the Momotombo Volcano, as seen from the rural community of Papalonal in Leon, La Paz Centro, Nicaragua on December 2nd 2015. The previously dormant volcano emitted glowing rocks after unleashing gas and ash. In 1610 an eruption of Momotombo destroyed Leon and the city was subsequently rebuilt in its current location further to the west. Credit: AP Photo/ Esteban Felix

When was the last time you went somewhere just to be quiet, just to think? When was the last time you had a conversation with your friends that really mattered, where you left feeling that a fire had been lit inside of you? Does anyone else feel this? This constant urge just to think, to question, the innate desire to understand? Not long ago this was not me at all, and now it is my defining characteristic. I often feel depressed because I am constantly thinking, wondering, questioning, and sometimes talking to other people about their outfit or the weather just seems so... Insignificant. And I guess that's all I want, just some feeling of significance. And really, isn't that what anyone wants? To feel needed, to feel important, to feel as though their every action has real, true significance in this world? Then why is it so hard to talk about it? Why do I feel so insecure about bringing up topics like this around other people, and why is it so hard not only for me to open up, but them as well? I don't know if anyone ever reads my little rants/hints/clues about this battle I feel constantly happening in my mind. But... I don't know. It just bums me out I guess.
