One bad day away

I think all of us have that "one bad day away" to becoming the real monsters that we are. Selfish and savage. But we are not like that. For now. We don't show it. Because we still haven't met our "one bad day." But we know it's there. And I believe we know how to get it. But the idea of knowing it's there, and getting it whenever we can, is what helps us maintain our sanity. We enjoy the facade that we have because it can be discarded anytime. To me, that's beautiful. And for me, that thought keeps me alive.
