Can we know the backstories, goals, and personalities of the Moonblossom cast? Also does the Demon become like, a separate entity from Price Night or do they become one and the same with Prince Night accepting this part of him or something?

yes, throughout the main story Nightmare flip flops between being the kind prince and the evil demon king, because both parts of him refuse to accept the other. Its only after the final fight that Nightmare fully embraces every part of himself, turning back into the prince but still maintaining some demon-like qualities and abilities

as for backstories, goals, etc. these were finer details of the story that have become i little lost to me, but ill try to remember what i can

Cross is an outcast knight of a fallen kingdom and wields a cursed sword with a spirit trapped inside, he was hired by the kingdom to go save prince dream

Nightmare was sickly and frail throughout his life, so despite being the older twin he was seen as unfit for the thrown. Dream had a lot of pressure and expectations given to him as a result of this, and overall the kingdom officials really didn’t treat either of them well. This resulted in both having a lot of insecurities, which is what eventually leads to Nightmare turning into a demon.

Error was actually going to have his own spinoff covering his lore so I definitely remember most of it. He was originally a priest figure in his community before his town was destroyed when attacked by undead gouls. Error himself died in this attack but was offered a chance to come back from MB Reaper. In exchange for coming back to the land of the living, Error must hunt down unholy creatures that have avoided death for the rest of his now immortal life. So he basically becomes Reaper’s undead hitman. During Error’s epic revenge quest he meets Blue. Sad part is that Blue dies in Error’s fight against the big bad, but gets reincarnated into MB Blue who’s helping Cross. Makes things a bit awkward when Error is trying to murderize the other party members.

hi hello ! i know you've moved accounts but considering the recent post i just wanted to say that i've always loved your art and creations :] you have such an awesome style

it's been awesome watching the art you've posted improve over time(your newer works are incredibly awesome as well !!), and it has actually inspired me to keep at it as well !! i've been around since moon blossom, and i affectionately blame it for making me try my own hand at adding eyelashes to my own designs as well as touching on some worldbuilding haha ^^

Was there any concrete lore for the Moonblossom AU? I remember there being a storyline but i'm not quite sure... urm, this is the correct place to ask right? Apologies if it isn't

this is definitely the right blog to ask on dw✨

i might have had a more concrete idea for the storyline at one point but its been years so-

I wrote up the main idea for the au but it ended up being a bit long so i put it under the cut

Nightmare is a prince that gets cursed by a flower and becomes the demon king. He runs off, turns others into demons and forms a castle/army in the demon realm. Prince Dream, assumes that his brother Nightmare has been kidnapped by the demon king, so he sets off to try and rescue him. But once dream gets to the castle he’s imprisoned. The kingdom then hires the outcast knight Cross to rescue prince Dream. Cross then has to travel across multiple “Realms” before he gets to the demon realm, where the princes are being held. Along the way the other characters of different realms/aus aid Cross in his quest or even tag along (think of it like gaining a travel companion in a game).

Ink is a mysterious merchant who’s shop has the uncanny ability to appear wherever Cross is, no matter the realm or circumstances, yes it does freak the other characters out

Error serves as an antagonist/antihero who Cross has to fight to defend Prince Nightmare later in the story, as Error is a mercenary who hunts down demons and other “unholy” beings

Nightmare’s gang are the ones who he turned into demons

There were always meant to be multiple different endings for the au, like a game would have. But the good/true ending is when the party fights Nightmare in his demon form and manage to lift his curse.

Now for the curse- tbh it was always vague since i was just going for a fairytale vibe, but in order to be cursed the person must confess their life’s greatest struggles to a Moonblossom flower. The flower itself then turns the person into a demon. The curse is one that latches onto the darkest parts of someone and turns that into power, in exchange those dark parts end up consuming the light in a person’s soul. During the events of the story Nightmare is in a constant tug of war with the dark and light in his soul, so sometimes he switches back and forth from demon king to prince.

Hey there! I wanted to make this announcement here so more people might see it, and i can share it on relevant blogs

I’m not reviving this account, but I wanted to inform anyone that might want to know about the utmv projects i had: Moonblossom AU, and Lofi Dreamtale

Although i have made attempts to work on them several times in the past, irl situations didn’t really allow for it and my motivation for said projects would fizzle out. But i don’t think that’s fair for anyone who remained invested in the AUs. Because of this i want to make it official, that both Moonblossom AU and Lofi Dreamtale belong to the fandom at large.

What this means is that anyone who wants to adopt and make their own versions of these are more than welcome to. More than one person is allowed to do this, these aus will no longer be tied to a singular person, you do not have to credit me for anything

That being said: DO NOT HARASS ANYONE whether its for making their own version of these aus in general, or making a version you don’t personally like. Online harassment is never ok, period.

If you have any important questions that weren’t covered in this post, ill be on this account for a bit longer to answer any asks sent my way- speaking of i see super old asks i never got to so i might answer some of those too isjdkdnsk

Update!

Hey! figured id hop back on this blog to give any lingering followers an update

I sorta took a huge break from tumblr and even online in general at one point, and haven’t really gotten around to being more active until recently, so ive got a few things on the agenda to address

First! this blog itself will likely remain not very active, i now have a separate account so going back and forth doesn’t seem appealing to me. that said i wont be deleting this or any other blog, id rather it be archived.

Second, i do have a personal blog ive been using mostly to goof off, @cosmic-chronologer , I don’t plan on posting actual content on it but if someone needs to reach me regarding something thats now the blog to go to

Thirdly! Moonblossom is fine, I moved the blog over to my current account and have been writing up a rough draft for the actual storyline. Ive been taking it easy lately so itll probably be awhile before anything concrete gets posted though

And lastly! To jumpstart myself back into being more active in general, I just opened up an ask blog for lofi dreamtale and the original concepts i had for the verse, @ask-lofiverse . As for “versecore”, me wanting to make it an original story was mostly because i wasnt in the utmv fandom at the time. but im back to drawing skeletons again✨ I had a lot of fun when I first made lofi dreamtale and it seemed like a good starting project to get my groove back. Ive been setting things up for a few days now so hopefully any past lofi dreamtale enjoyers like it

and that should be everything?? I know its probably a lot but thanks for reading anyway if u did!

Nothing too crazy, but I likely won’t be too active on this blog due to my focus shifting more towards irl stuff. I’ll basically be turning this into my main fandom blog, and switching over to a less hectic personal blog where I can focus on passion projects and other things
