Why is the upside down slice a mostly/exclusively Sicilian shaped commodity? I don’t know, but it makes sense.
Shapes, colors... this is what life is made of.
Sicilians...
Super excited to be back st Friends and Lovers December 20, come by!
Stopped by this spot in a Williamsburg early on election night. Best is a bold claim and realistically not accurate, but the pizza is pretty good. They throw a leaf of fresh basil on the slice as they hand it to you which is a really nice touch. $3.75 for a plain slice at a place like this is kinda rugged though.
This is a poignant image. Too often we assume the pizza world is all about the rockstar lifestyle, but the truth is there are dark, somber moments. This is one of those.
Extremely tasty Quattro Formaggi at Bar Toto in Park Slope. I loved the chunks of Smokey-ness lurking on this pie. Also over did it with pepper flakes but guess what none of us are perfect!!!!!!
Pretty tasty slizzies at a place in Park Slope and I FORGET WHAT ITS CALLED! More importantly check out my crush pattern on the slice on eater’s right. I like to call this approach the Pizz-ninsula.
Got a single margherita slice at Lunetta on second ave. Very tasty, especially the greenery, but it’s always weird how thin these slices feel. Dude at the counter pulled it out of the oven pretty quickly and was like, “ you don’t want this too hot,” and I was all you’re right man.
Carmine and Sons on Graham Ave in East Williamsburg. Sooooo stokes on these slizzies. Just look at them! Cheesy, soft (not soggy), misshaped in the awesome way, and with tasty leaves lurking below the surface up near the crust. Excellent!
Cruised into Pizza Master in Mahwah and dude was pulling a pit out of the oven just as I reached the counter! Gooey in the best possible way, kinda heavy on the cheese, and perfect temperature. What a pleasant surprise!

Pizza Suprema on 8th ave. One of my fav slice spots. They have some awesome specialty slices but sometimes the occasion calls for the basics. One plane one Sicilian.
This place is a couple blocks south of the Garden on 7th ave. Not sure the current name but it was once pizza village. It’s a really, really good slice but it’s so expensive I rarely stop by. Was starving the other night and treated myself.
Went to a Christmas 🎄 party 🎈 on Saturday and as (I thought) it was winding down the dude who threw it was all, “I just got some pies!” And then 🍕 showed up! It was all good but the pie in the Sicilian box was real top shelf stuff.
To celebrate Slizzies 2 year anniversary, here is a pic of Teo slices from Supremo last night. One plain and one margherita. Haven’t posted too much lately but hopefully I’ll be more diligent chronicling the past time of pizza eating as we had into the new year. Enjoy!
