From what I can tell from a bit of research (read: googling it) this is legit. I’m going to go up into the mountains or something and test it.

It’s a traditional Asian trick called “Yentiabang” or “butterfly fishing”, and it works because those are all horny males trying to mate with that fluttering piece of paper.

When I first got my Kindle Fire, one of the earlier books I read was Eric James Stone’s Unforgettable.

Today I finished reading it again because I got nostalgia for it after playing Schrödinger’s Cat Burglar, and discovered the physical version has a different ending to the story than the one I read back then. Checking the copyrights, one is 2011 and the other is 2016. I read the 2011 edition first.

Both endings are really thought-provoking. I’d recommend people read both, but I’m not exactly sure where a person would go to find the first one. I might be in the minority of people with family that actually know the author and thus get special access to early editions of books.

I got Melon (my sibling) to watch AWTDE last night. They got to the first time the King in Yellow appears, before having to turn the screen off and go to bed. Today I asked them what they thought of it, and after asking if there were any jumpscares (a: not really aside from that one appearance) told me they thought the image of TKIY there looked like a really messed up dog.

YouTube has started doing this horrible thing where I click on a video that happens to be a song animatic (NOT A MIX. I don’t click mixes.) and then it just. Shoves me into a mix playlist with that video in it. I DON’T WANT TO WATCH A MIX. I WANT TO WATCH ONE VIDEO, HAVE IT FINISH, AND THEN READ THE COMMENTS. I HAVE AUTOPLAY TURNED OFF FOR A REASON.
