Danny couldn’t help but overhear the rather amusing conversation between two women nearby, and when he heard the bit about a family picking up chinese for dinner, he had to put in his two-cents. “You got somethin’ agains—”
As soon as he got a good look at the woman who had spoken, he turned a ghastly shade of white. He couldn’t move, he couldn’t breathe, he couldn’t do anything except stare in shock. It can’t be her. He knew it couldn’t have, and he knew his mind was just playing tricks on him again, but knowing that never made it any easier. Her face was the one that haunted him the most, the one that brought him to a dark place he hopelessly wanted to forget. “Y—you can’t…” he started to back away from her, terror fueling his muscles to finally move.
Tamara looked away from the person she was speaking with when another voice spoke up. Her eyes widened her mouth falling open in shock as water welled up in her eyes. She hadn't seen him since the fire thinking he had died there along with everyone else. Standing up she took a step towards him, reaching out just to make sure he was really there. "D-David?"
"Ya’ ‘ave t’ consider if that’s what they can afford, it’s that I can understand."
"Thursday nights fer us is lasagna, and yer welcome t’ eat it with us whenever ya’ want."
They can afford much more than Chinese, they just decide they are too busy to actually feed their children.
That is not a bad idea, if I am not intruding of course.
"And why’s that?"
Have you seen how unhealthy it is?
"Hey, that’s pretty good food."
For a grown man, which you are, it isn't too horrible. But for growing children it doesn't help them grow at all.
"I only have one girl, but she’s a lot smarter than I am so she probably eats healthier than me."
Then I suppose she was brought up by good parents.
"Perhaps an apple would be better?"
It would be, but sadly not as dinner unless it's eaten beforehand.
"Sneak them something earlier in the day so they won’t eat much of the Chinese, worked for one of my brothers."
I might be able to give them a sandwich before their parents come home.
"Who feeds children with Chinese?"
Horrible parents who have no idea how to raise a child.
"Yes, what horrible parents, they must be raising monsters, someone must attend to the evil festering inside of that home."
They must! The poor children deserve so much more.

"Personally, I love Chinese food so I think they’ll be alright. What do you think they should eat instead then?"
Fresh foods, homemade meals, Chinese food is fine for adults sure, but it's hard to tell what it is even made of half the time. Do you get your own children that sort of food?
"Why do you care?"
Because I love children and Chinese food isn't filled with the nutrition they need. I'd be a horrible nanny if I didn't care.
"The child is not yours, right? Why should you care? I don’t see what is so bad about China food anyway."
All children deserve a long and healthy happiness. It is greasy and who knows what they put in it.
