mingyu loved cooking and it was a well known fact that both you and him were huge foodies.

he had no objections whenever he had to cook something his friends or family asked him to. pasta, steaks, crazy salads… though questionable, he’d always make it.

“gyu…” your soft voice sounded like a lullaby, though mingyu already knew what you wanted to ask. “i’m hungry…”

he contemplated pretending to be asleep for a split second. pros: he got to sleep more. cons: unhappy wife, disappointed wife, hungry wife, frustrated wife.

“five more… minutes” mingyu slurred sleepily, throwing his arm over his eyes. your giggle made him smile, the sound itself disregarding the importance of sleep at the moment.

he felt you shift to a sitting position, a soft thud of feet landing on the floor.

“sorry for waking you up” you sighed. mingyu stood up and groaned in a lazy stretch, turning the light on. you both squinted your eyes to get familiar with the sudden illumination.

“don’t worry about it, baby” he hummed. you rested your hand on your bulbous belly, the cause and the reason of all of this.

mingyu smiled softly, reaching his hand out.

“here, let me help you stand up” your husband offered and you agreed, as even standing up while being seven months pregnant started to cause you trouble.

you went to the kitchen, mingyu helping you sit on the bar stool in front of the kitchen island.

“so? what’s on the menu?” he asked, scratching his ribs. you pretended to think, making a silly face. he smiled subconsciously; pregnancy really made you glow.

“okay, so hear him–“

“her” mingyu corrected you. “only a girl can have such crazy ideas–“

“shush. okay, so: a sandwich. preferably using the bread you made. then, salted butter. on top of that, biscoff spread” you listed and mingyu started taking out the ingredients. nothing alarming yet. “then, some miso paste for the, you know, umami. and, the best part…”

“uh-uh” he nodded, brows already furrowed.

“bacon. crispy bacon. topped with a little maple syrup” you hummed happily, rubbing your one hungry beast of a child.

mingyu sent you an unfazed look.

“what?” you chuckled. “not my idea!”

“okay, okay…” he laughed and rubbed his eyes. then, he started taking out ingredients. “you can go back to sleep, you know. you need it.”

“no… i feel guilty that i woke you up…”you hummed and rested your head on your arms, on the countertop.

“do you think she’ll be such a michelin star growing up? making us five course breakfasts?” mingyu joked.

“star…” you repeated slowly “i like that nickname”

“it’s cute” mingyu agreed.

focusing on cooking, he started rambling about his work. when he finally turned around with the finished product, he realized you fell asleep. soft snores escaping your lips, hair scattered on the marble countertop.

mingyu just smiled and decided to let you sleep for a few more seconds. he didn’t want his precious star to eat a cold sandwich.

hihi!!! I’ve missed you <33 I’m glad you’re popping back in 🥹🥹 I’ve been doing pretty good, currently on a volunteer shift that is pretty quiet and boring, but I’ve been playing scrabble on my phone to pass the time

I heard the news earlier and it’s so fucking unfair :( the amount of idols being kicked out of their groups or parting ways for other reasons this year is just insane. I’m only into xdh casually but what are they expecting by kicking out their leader and drummer?????? They make ROCK music 😭😭😭 I’m like what is this stupidity ?? Are they gonna get a replacement or just a random backup drummer for performances???

and the members must feel awful during all this ☹️☹️ that’s their leader :(( it’s so so frustrating how idols basically have no way to defend themselves against sasaengs or invasion of privacy because every single thing they do is analyzed and scrutinized and judged to hell by netizens. or even things that should have been private and REMAIN private aren’t because they are in the public eye. literally just one step out of the perfect idol image, and suddenly they can no longer be in their groups it’s just so horrible.

I support you in the arson honestly with got7 being one of the only (past) jyp groups I was into (along with day6 and xdh) they GOTTA GO.

What is verivery's lore? And if kangmin left verivery to be in ald1 would you have been sad?

so I def forget some of the lore, but verivery’s storyline involves evil dopplegangers of the members who constantly spy on them (and kidnap/replace Kangmin in multiple mvs), and try to kill them/torture them in many ways (for example in trigger mv, gyehyeon’s doppleganger tries to drown him, while yeonho’s electrocutes him in a chair, etc)

there’s also a sick dance battle in the lay back mv between real verivery and their dopplegangers (and in order to film this for the mv, verivery learned the choreography mirrored as well as the original which is hella impressive!!)

yes I would’ve 100% been sad if Kangmin had debuted in ald1, but ofc I would have fully supported him in the group. I would’ve been even sadder if the group disbanded or them going on b2p hadn’t brought them the second chance at performing they had wanted. in my opinion what ended up happening was my best case scenario; Kangmin was able to stay with verivery, and they also got a boost in popularity after the survival show

when you heard a knock at your door, you got up hurriedly. the clock struck almost midnight and you knew that the only thing at this hour your boyfriend needed were cuddles.

when you opened the door, you pouted.

ryo's eyes were almost fighting sleep, head bobbing down.

"ohhh my baby…" you whined and opened your arms. ryo dropped his bag on the floor, immediately falling into your embrace as if a magnet pulled him in. he rested his face in the crook of your neck, nuzzling his hair against your skin.

"i'll give you all the cuddles you want. let's just go inside, okay?" you asked. a half-whine, half-hum left his lips but he didn't move away. in fact, his arms wrapped around your waist tighter.

so you manoeuvred his way back inside, hooking his bag with your foot. glued to you like a coala, ryo didn't let go for a split second though you slowly felt his grip loosen. when you raised your hand to lock the door, his head rolled on your arm. his weight bagan to send an ache in your lower back, making you realize you have been arching to keep him on his feet.

you led him to your bedroom and gently guided him onto your bed.

"pyja—" you started but ryo wrapped his hands around your neck.

"mmpfh. night night" he hummed and you just smiled. nuzzling himself into you once again, inhaling your scent, lying on a comfortable bed… ryo was out like a baby.

"my adorable cuddlebug" you giggled quietly, caressing his hair.
