“Headmaster,” he started, repositioning himself on the chair so that he could sit at the edge, this was an important conversation, after all. “The Dark Lord grows tired of my lack of intel.” He said with reservation, “He wishes me to bring him some sort of prudent knowledge before the start of term, lest my position as spy grow expendable.”
Dumbledore looked up then, staring directly into Severus’ passive face before nodding in understanding. He continued to keep his head down, scribbling out on pieces of parchment. “What sort of information is he seeking Severus? How nefarious do you deem him at this time?”
“He is more unstable since his resurrection. He seeks something large, if I am to regain my favor with him.”
