It’s what her reply was, the raven unable to hide the unsatisfactory that came with her tone at what she had gotten. Not that she had ever been so ungrateful - truthfully - she was grateful as always for her Savior. It was just..
The advice she had received didn’t help her… at all.
Which.. felt odd to the raven in a way; Savior often always knew what to do and say to comfort her, even lead her to towards the best paths, the best decisions. So when Savior answered with something so odd and unclear.. it threw Mary for a loop for a moment. It felt strange, and also made her want to pout; As - well - anyone who knew her, knew how she could be like when the answer could be so uncertain. It made her worry, and possibly even scared. It’s one of the reasons why she was how she was. Not even taking the biggest of chances unless her savior approved of the circumstance.
Savior knows best after all.
Despite it though, Mary smiled. Though it was obvious it had been a tad forceful, she wasn’t exactly the best at acting when it came with her fears. However, she did feel comforted by her savior’s smile, it showed her that everything was going to be okay! That nothing bad was to happen anytime soon. It made the worry dissipate for a moment, showing she was safe.
Soon watching the Savior take refuge on a soft bench though, the raven followed in suit. The younger watching the beautiful blond with curious eyes as she sat beside her, a hint of flattery coming to light once she realized her savior was getting her a drink. It made her wonder if her true emotions were coming out too much - she hoped that Savior didn’t mind. Hell - even worry! Mary had no intention of having them noticed!
Taking her drink though, Mary gave a nervous laugh. Her stomach-turning with unease and nervousness not only due to the reason WHY she was here now but also for what her Savior was thinking. Mary hoped she didn’t think any less of her - though, she wouldn’t blame her if she was too. The raven had a lot to still learn after all! “Thank you, My Savior,” she said, taking the drink and beginning to ingulf to help calm herself down. Trying to clear her head and quit the uncomfortable turning that was her stomach at this moment.
It seemed to be working at first, the raven getting lost in focusing on the action she was doing as she listened to her Savior’s soothing voice. Nodding to agree with her advice before suddenly…
“Do I know who this lucky person is? Perhaps I’d be able to help better with a name.”
Never before did Mary suddenly felt a rush of panic suddenly take over before in her life. It made her suddenly inhale through her mouth and quickly caused her to erupt into a coughing fit. Where she quickly turned to the other direction to calm herself down, her face quickly igniting into a blaze as the question forced her to think of who she was extremely fond of at this moment. Her heart following suit as it’s rhythm suddenly increased inactivity - for multiple reasons besides her crush’s name suddenly being necessary to continue the conversation - but that being one of the real reasons.
“I-I” Mary suddenly said, her gloved hand covering her chest as she gently felt her heart pound against her chest. Trying to find the courage she once always had before it was ripped away by the demons known as insecurities that haunted her when it came to this subject; And … for good reason too.
Not only was it due to … multiple flaws that would occur in her conflicting and strange personality, it was also because…
The desired person may or may not actually be someone she would be allowed to get close too?
And so - due to this.. what was she to say? It was just a crush.. so compared too ACTUAL feelings, it wasn’t a big deal but.. Whenever you had work with their brother, and basically see - or at least somewhat see - the face of someone you had fallen for.. It just..
Mary silently scolded herself for allowing this to happen to her. Never would Savior approve. At most, she would be judged for sure, and honestly, Mary would not blame the blond a bit for doing so. The temptation to lie was also there, oh how it could have been so easy to avert the question or possibly even make Saeran the target since that was his twin..! However, she was not Ray who sometimes lied to keep his feeling secret.
She was herself, truly loyal to savior and savior alone - and because of some.. strange, and ironic circumstance, she found herself falling for his brother. Who was upon the opposing side.
Why him? Out of all the people…
“T-that was certainly direct, my savior..!” Mary finally said after settling a bit down, laughing nervously as her cheeks were still stained in a red hue, “I.. wasn’t expecting that.. aha.” she finished, “Please forgive me.”
“as.. for the person.. I like?" she said, her gaze averting. Her golden hues deciding to focus on the cup as her cheeks still radiated, the nervousness suddenly building as the tension seemed to press itself upon her chest. Making it like was beating a million times harder, and faster.
"W.. well..” Mary began, before looking up at the blond. A hint of desperation in her tone, “First.. before I reveal it, you can’t judge me. okay?”
