Parts Of The Scorpi {By Taste}
Tusks: when boiled, it softens and is able to be peeled, with the inside surprisingly soft (banana tusk) (it tasting like bananas just happens to be unrelated)
Headplate Interior [mouth]: mushy (in the fisheye kind of way)
Headplate Interior [brain]: strangely smooth (great in ice cream)
Headplate Exterior + Thorax Shell: a bit hard to chew but once you work it enough, it begins to give way to a sugary wintermelon-like flavor
Pincers: tastes like barbecue crab
Underbelly: soft and tastes like tilapia
Legs: can be fries to a crisp chip-like texture (like fry ends) and end up tasting like fried okra
Tail: bone is unpleasant to chew as is but if cut into rings, soaked in water, wrapped in cloth, and allowed to dry in proximity to gray quartum for [the System Hour equivalent of 2 Days], it takes on a hardtack like texture
Tailend: if asked, it doesnt hold much of any flavor (it’s the bread/saltine cracker/ritz cracker kind of taste) - the only part of a Scorpi that can be eaten both cooked and raw - though it does taste better cooked
What Happens If I Accidentally Eat An Uncooked Scorpi? (such as in the wild)
Well, nothing too dramatic. You wouldn’t die. Not right away anyways. Depending on how close to the brain you eat, the symptoms range from loss of sleep to puking to gastrointestinal issues to occasional-and-annoying-and-severe spiking pain in the right back lobe of your skull.
