7 dec 2017 // this is how I study for a course that is purely memorization. Write it all out in different colours and then read it 1 million times. I wish I had some good tips and trick for memorization, so if anyone has any, let me know âď¸

Imagine: Hard Work Pays Off
Itâs 3am, you sit at your desk writing that essay youâve been working on for weeks, or going over those sets of maths problems, or that science project thatâs due tomorrow. Your young sleepy eyes threaten to close but you push just that little bit further, a blanket wrapped around you and some tea warming your hands. It has to be perfect. Itâs high school. The next day you hand it in, your teacher smiles. A+
Itâs 3am a few years later and you sit at your desk on your computer, typing away at that lab report, that essay, that assignment that needs doing. Youâve worked so hard on it. Passion motivates you, not fear nor caffeine. It is your goals that keep you going, your drive to make a difference. To help people. To learn. You are in your dream course at your dream college. As you type those last few digits, you smile. You submit it and a sense of serenity overtakes you; you go to sleep, proud.
Itâs 3 am and you wake up for no particular reason. A cold breeze enters through your partially open window. Warm under your blankets you stretch and look around. Smiling. You graduated a few years back and life is good, friends and family love you and are proud of you, youâre happy and surround yourself with good people. Youâve built the life you dreamed of. As tiredness overtakes you you go back to sleep, excited for work and to do what you love in the morning.
Concept: We need to stop neglecting the good things in our lives. Brush off bad things as quickly as we tend to brush off good things. Believe that compliment and remember it. Notice how pretty the moon is. Think about the cute dog you saw. Think of a funny thing your friend said. Overthink it like youâd overthink a bad thing. Donât let little things ruin your day; let little things make you really happy. You deserve good things and happiness⌠so let yourself be happy.

08.12.2017; my arabic exam is really close, so i must start working harder now. i donât think iâll do great because iâm way behind my classmates (i joined the class two months later than them), but i feel like iâm learning so much, i feel way more confident with the language now, and it makes me so happy âĄ
also, i started a new book under my fatherâs recommendation: âthe seven minutesâ by irving wallace.
08.12.17 Last day of lectures. Had my first meeting with my supervisor to discuss my dissertation which still seems ages away. Currently in the library (absolutely love the massive windows in this part of the building) putting the finishing touches on a presentation for class this afternoon.
